TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 One of the best parts of the catch was the female Blue Jay fan who was super pumped after the catch.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 Surprised this catch is no where to be found on MLB frontpage even if I scroll all the way down.

I seem to remember him always pulling non-closer relievers after they gave up a couple of hits... However a few weeks ago Tepera gave up a bunch of hits against Phillie and Gibby just went out there and told him to get the f***ing job done... Now Oh puts a couple on, gives up a homer that has to be pulled back, and Gibby is nowwhere to be seen. Kind of like he's not longer going to care about a couple of bad pitches and just let the guys get the job done. Or maybe no one else was available... or maybe he just forgot to have someone else warming up.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 Grichuk is a 4 tool player dragged down by his lack of hit tool. But in June his K% is down to 17% and his xBA is .270. I don't think he's ever had a month where his K% was this low. He could be a 5 win player next year. You're right about the K rate, this is the first month where his K rate is even below 20%. Plus, first time in his career where his K rate is this low after 150 PA's.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 Borucki making his debut on the road against Houston. That's kind of cruel lol. The Crawford boxes are going to be busy tonight.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 Borucki making his debut on the road against Houston. That's kind of cruel lol. The Crawford boxes are going to be busy tonight. He's a fairly strong ground ball pitcher, who hasn't given up a whole lot of home runs in the minors. They may hit him a bit, but I wouldn't assume they'll hit it out.

Anything he misses with will be destroyed by this lineup. If he can get us through 5 or 6 with 3 runs or less I would be stoked though. Just would have preferred he broke in with a more favourable match up.

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 Borucki's dad is awesome. He said something roughly like this: "Ryan's gonna be a little bit nervous, Ryan's dad is gonna be losing his mind the whole game."
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2018 Author Posted June 27, 2018 That's the first under his belt.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 Is Granderson a hall of famer? No, he's close but doesn't quite have enough to make it. Excellent player.
Ray Verified Member Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 Is Granderson a hall of famer? Nah. Hall of very good.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 No, he's close but doesn't quite have enough to make it. Excellent player. Nah. Hall of very good. Figures, he should be elected for personality alone!
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 Lol Pillar. He's in one of those streaks.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 I feel like I can count on one hand how many times the hit and run has worked for the jays this season
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 Martin couldn't hit a ball in the strike if it were on a tee this year, looks to work walks everytime, but hey, let's try the hit and run with him while Smoak is running. Bad call Gibby.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 I would have liked to see Pillar benched again and used for defense late.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2018 Author Posted June 27, 2018 Martin getting tougher to watch as every day goes by.
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 Borucki project as a #4/5 starter?
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 I feel like I can count on one hand how many times the hit and run has worked for the jays this season Jason Pierre - Paul could count on one hand also.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 Travis wtf bro, it was right to you.
