This seems like it would be a lot of fun. Would definitely listen to it.

You are like a whisper in the wind but I'd like to include you in that guest list as well.

Would it be a video or audio podcast? Or both?

Just audio for now, I think. I'd want it on YouTube and SoundCloud or something for easy accessibility. Not sure everyone wants to expose their faces.

Also, I have zero experience in editing audio or video so if anyone here is good at that and wants to work for free, lemme know.

I think we should make a poll asking the fine posters of the BJMB of the top 2-3 people they would like to listen too and then based on those results ask the people if they would be interested and just keep moving down the list until we get a couple people to commit to it.

Yeah that's a good idea.

Yeah I'd be open to making the odd guest appearance.

I'm going to assume you left me off the list of potential guests - over the likes of Gruber, Dogg and BBBB simply because you know I have 3 kids under the age of 7 and a crazy work schedule - thus leaving no time to commit to this interesting endeavor. Otherwise, it would appear my existence on this board is neither memorable nor entertaining.

That said - I'd listen.

Went to La Salle University for that. Might be a bit rusty but I can try to help. I could also give some suggestions on mics to use to enhance sound quality.

I used to be a radio DJ, produced commercials, wrote them... voiced them... so as long as I can find the software, I can do it no problem.

Thanks guys, I'll keep you in mind if this gets off the ground.

Sorry, I just did it off the very top of my head. I didn't mean to exclude anyone. Anyone is welcome, really.

Also, Gruber, Dogg and BBBB would be extremely interesting conversations.

Sounds like fun, I'll be a listener. I'll try being a guest if the situation arises. I do my friend's hockey podcast now and then, it is fun.

I've produced and starred in no less than 47.5 amateur adult films

Really?

I've always heard it was more like 3.5....

I encourage the rumor, lowered expectations equals more impressive results. You just have to be able to ignore the word "actually" as part of every compliment.

Love the idea Boxy. I have a few suggestions I'll send offline. But I do know someone from Humber's Broadcast who is a fan but isn't part of this board but could be a good host. Having someone from the outside might even be good to keep the inside jokes to a minimum. Another thought is that we have a professional actor on this board who at least could make for a good host. Although he does not represent the analytical side which separates this board from the others.

Like the idea of adding video to the audio (Jays highlights, maybe even if we are talking about a specific swing or something getting video to match what is being talked about). I know nothing about the legalities of this though.

I'd imagine that providing commentary to a replay would have it fall under fair use.

Good point on the inside jokes. We would need to curb those for sure. I'm open to any and all suggestions. Maybe I should make a separate thread for people to indicate interest in hosting?

Also, I'm starting a new job on Tuesday and I am under the impression that hours will be wacky so I'd like to get a better grip on my schedule before I really start putting this in motion.

It SHOULD, but MLB is completely out of touch with the digital age with regards to this sort of thing. I'm pretty sure they'd strongly disagree, and it might not be worth the fight. You could always contact them and ask.

Honestly, that's a bit more effort than I'm willing to put in, lol. I just want to have a fun podcast where a few people talk baseball and s*** on the Orioles. I'm not looking to make this a future revenue stream and the only reason I'd want it to grow in popularity is for the chance at more prestigious guests, like Grant77.

I just saw that professional actor in Game Over, Man a few days ago. It took me a bit by surprise, but I instantly recognized who it was.

I prefer his appearances in Supernatural. Getting slain by the Winchesters has to be cool

If you want popularity then you have to aim higher. Real life celebrity Roy Firestone, for example.

Real Life Celebrity Roy Firestone is my white whale.

He piled upon the Firestone's white face the sum of all the general rage and hate felt by the whole Jays fanbase; and then, as if his chest had been a home run, he flipped his white hot bat upon it.

Not exactly Melville... but that's all I got on short notice.

I prefer the home movies he sends me...

It's pretty cool to see him. I have another friend who I grew up with who has been in two films with him. They actually look quite a bit alike too.

How does everyone but me know about a famous actor that posts here?

Well, to be fair, he doesn't really post here since he hates Juiced.
