Thank you. I really appreciate it. I need to digest this for a while. So, is a good splitter the same as a sinker?

Sorry to interrupt, are the catcher's signals consistent throughout baseball? I will look up the signals but just asking. Once again, i'm sure I am not alone.

No, a sinker is very similar to a 2-seam fastball, except it has more downward movement which induces groundballs. Again the grip is slightly different, but they're both high velocity pitches with armside movement, with a sinker designed to move down so the ball is bounced into the ground. A splitter is much more comparable to a changeup.

And no, each pitching staff and battery (a term used to describe the pitcher-catcher duo) has their own signals, this prevents the other team from reading signs and figuring out which pitches are coming.

In fact, a good analogy would be ... a sinker(hard) and splitter(soft) have more drop and less run, whereas a 2 seam fastball(hard) and changeup(soft) have more run, less drop. Though a really good changeup still has a lot of drop

Where's Boxy when you need him

They are more mad at Adam Jones for being Adam Jones and swinging at garbage.

Boy is this horse s***. He wasn't out of the baseline.

Crazy. Of all the times they decide to call that, it's a bases loaded DP against us.

Orioles fans sound like those Jays fans who think there's some kind of anti-Canada conspiracy in sports.

That's more level headed than I thought. Its like the guys here when there's literally inconclusive evidence or maybe a frame of evidence and it's called inconclusive "OF COURSE BUT IF IT WAS THE YANKEES...."

I wonder if the lack of Jose Bautista in the lineup took some of the hate out as well

Is Osuna good to close today. Already twice in three days

He threw 8 and 15 pitches. Obviously you would rather not but outside of Axford the bullpen has been well used.

Apart from that one game from Texas Martin has looked the usual ugly early-season self. Can't wait for him to hit his groove

Same with Travis...
