Stars of the game:

1) Smoak

2) JF4L19

3) Pillar

HM: the bullpen and the rest of the offense

What no love for me calling the Smoak grand slam? I practically willed it to happen

Smoak just continues to impress. I can’t believe how different he is as a hitter.

Can someone message me when this board gets back to normal? Man - I'm always fascinated at how stupid people are.

It seems this happens every year this early give it a month and it should weed out the s*** birds

Blue Jays Win!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We needed that lol

Not a huge fan of having like 17 base runners and scoring on only 3 hits, but it's a vast improvment to the first couple of games. On to the team we just seem to not be able to beat. This year will be different though!

On the flip side it would be far more worrisome if there were far fewer baserunners which would make "clutchness" even more necessary.

As long as guys are getting on base consistently, the runs will be more consistent as well, generally speaking

For sure. I hope we see more of a consistent scoring in a variety of ways this year vs the HR dependent scoring the last couple of years it seemed

How about that bullpen? They look great so far.

They have been great. Better than I was expecting leaving the spring. Oh looked great in the 9th inning today. If our offense matches our pitching this year we could make the playoffs

I think it will be feast or famine for the majority of the season. Yes, the lineup has some real thump in the middle, but it's also got its fair share of swing and miss.

I think we'll see alot of wins with 6+ runs scored, and just as many losses with 1 or 2 at best, but overall they will score a decent pile of runs.

I love Robertson's reaction.

Hey, sorry for bailing early when I promised to be on troll duty all game... Buddy of mine got hit by a car and is in the neurology ICU at St. Mike's, and we had to drive down to support his family. He's not doing great, not going to lie... I think he'll probably pull through, but it's pretty touch and go.

On the plus side, I did catch the 8th and 9th innings in the waiting room...
