Sure would have been nice if they had announced the WAS-PHI game postponement BEFORE the scheduled start time so it didn't screw people's lineups over, especially given the weather there is fine. Apparently there's field problems that happened over the weekend.

lol they were using flamethrowers to dry the infield today lol they were expecting as much rain as they got and didnt have the infield covered. Screwed my fantasy haha

One thing that article doesn’t mention - Ohtani will still be only 25 on opening day 2020, with four years of control left.

 

Yeah, I'm pretty sure most here know as much.

Well then you should know that younger pitchers have faster healing and stronger UCLs.

Faster healing yes, but I think it's debateable about stronger UCLs. There's kids having TJ surgery before they are 18 because they're blowing out there arms in year round competition nstead of letting them heal when the season's are over.

Is this even true for the UCL, or just a guess?

 

Regardless, even if both are true in general, they'd have so much variance player to player that applying it on an individual basis (like Ohtani) would be useless. He may be a slower than average healer regardless of his age, who knows?

Nationals beat the Phillies twice yesterday to get within 1.5 games

 

It still amazes me that if the season ended today the Nats and Dodgers both miss the playoffs
