I dunno why you guys dislike the Yankees so much. This is a way different team from the days where they would just buy everyone, fun, young and exciting. Down 2-0 against the best team in the AL and they come back to win 3 straight against Carrasco and Kluber.

The scary thing is all the young cost controlled talent they have before opening the checkbook. The result is scary as can be seen. Gotta hope for some regression but even then they will be a darn right scary force.

Of rhat whole list only 2 will be making any real money in 2019. They could actually afford both Machado and either Harper or Stanton. Their orher salaries will climb as they enter their later arbitration years but still...

Although I forgot they're still saddled with Ellsbury's awful contract and they have two bullpen arms making 12M+

Owed to players not on the team $29M

 

I can see them focusing on a pitcher this off season and 2019 is when they go big.
