Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Yankee Stadium looks empty for the last game of the year on Sunday afternoon for a playoff team Well, the game means nothing. The wildcard game will be a sellout no doubt. I wonder if it might allow us to leapfrog them in the average attendance though?

With Pittsburgh and Oakland winning too, this win could cost us three spots in the draft, depending on the tiebreak.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Osuna with some gas. 98mph.
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Well that's it for the season. Thanks and goodbye Joey bats.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 That's it. For a fun little trivia, with Osuna's 39th save on the year that is the 2nd most in a season in franchise history.

I more of a fan of them winning but I have full confidence in this FO drafting talent so drafting 10th or 13th really doesn't make much of a difference to me. Seeing the O's finish last does put a small smile on my face.

baseballsss Verified Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Usually on the last day don't managers usually start all their starters give them 1 or 2 at bats then sub in as many players as possible after that?
Rusty_Savage Verified Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Yeah the only starter that stayed in for the whole game was Smoak. Probably because he had a chance at 40
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Tabler just said Goins is having a career year .238/.288/.359 70 wRC+ and a -0.3 fWAR Dem rbiz R speshul.... Negative value in every aspect of the game this season. Yup, career year

glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 This season is finally over. Man, after the horrid start in April, it felt like this season would never end. Just one more month and we can talk about the hot stove. Sucks not making the playoffs. I was starting to get used to it, but build a small window and you'll get a small window.
