TheHurl Site Manager Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 This really annoys me...we cant even get a mediocre sac bunt, it's like anyone who becomes a Blue Jay doesn't know how to bunt You'd never ask a pitcher to throw a pitch that they haven't thrown since High School or college...but ask big leaguers to bunt. Just stop working on it and take it out of your teams repertoire. I see it as Lopez has a 29% chance of doing something positive (hit or walk)...what are the chances he does something negative (double play or out not advancing the runner) it better be significantly higher than the odds of him making a successful sacrifice. Bunting is really f***ing hard
TheHurl Site Manager Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 shouldn't it have been instinct to go home as soon as he caught it?
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Holy f***, he did it again! Another unreal play!
TheHurl Site Manager Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Seems like Pillar makes these on Stro starts more often.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2017 Author Posted August 29, 2017 Phenomenal Catch... one of, if not the best I've seen.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Pillar has really picked up his game the last few weeks. Heck of a catch!!!!!
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Welp, Raffy Lopez with another mammoth foul ball.
MunenoriKawasakiMVP Verified Member Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 lol that was a majestic bat flip
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Phenomenal Catch... one of, if not the best I've seen. Statscast should be off the charts. That was a long way. Just an incredible catch. watched it with my kid 20 times.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Goins may have made the play of the game by going home with the bases loaded
TheHurl Site Manager Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Koehler gives us two innings before his DFA tonight?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2017 Author Posted August 29, 2017 Goins may have made the play of the game by going home with the bases loaded lol... Buck's drunk!
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Stroman's change actually looked pretty good, a bit up, but nice movement. He should use it more often.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Interesting note.. Steamer had Vladdy Jr at a 76 wRC+ for 2017. Only about 100 points off..

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 That's a MLB projection, lol. This, it's also a projection for the rest of the season at the major league level, not for what it was at the start of the season.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 That's a MLB projection, lol. Really?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2017 Author Posted August 29, 2017 Crushed... Smoak... just Wow!
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 I'm sure we'll still lose the game, but adding a few runs to Kimbrel's tally always feels good.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2017 Author Posted August 29, 2017 Really? Yes, just ignore those, it's a projection if he were in the league this year, that's pretty damn good.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2017 Author Posted August 29, 2017 This, it's also a projection for the rest of the season at the major league level, not for what it was at the start of the season. I didn't look. What's his season projection, not ROS?
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Not sure I like Morales versus Kimbrel's slider.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Not sure I like Morales versus Kimbrel's slider. but he's 1 for 1 with a HR. Jays can't lose
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 "That was a good read right there from Benintendi - he knew exactly where that ball was going to come down. He took his eye off the ball and then ran to that spot where he thought it was coming down...from Pearce...and then it was actually sitting there waiting for him. He's playing just a little bit deeper...he watches it come off the bat, takes his eye off of it, runs to the spot...and waits for it. That's how you...read the ball off the bat." Pat Tabler, everybody.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
