Thanks for posting the update Hurl. I was out of town and didn't have my BJMB login but was working on this since it went down Friday and kept in touch with Hurl. Like he said there was an attack on the board. Hopefully upgraded security will stop any future attacks, but who really knows.

I don't think you can stop these when they happen. There was a little "hacker" group called lulz sec or something a few years ago that took down the entire eve online website and game for almost a week via this same kind of attack. You basically have to hope they get bored and move on.

Would depend on how large the botnet (I'm assuming this was a DDOS attack...) is. Smaller botnet, with fewer individual IPs to filter out could be taken down a lot more quickly than something on the scale of the EVE online attack...

Yeah, I'm getting a lot of timeout errors and stuff. I don't know if the site is misconfigured, or if it's still being attacked. I haven't had an issue with posts being smaller.
