Osuna is just so tradable this off-season. I hope they pull the trigger on a team desperate for a closer.

 

Yeah seriously. Bring Joe Smith back or some equivalent to him that's always on the market every year and get 3-4 pieces back for Osuna before his arm explodes. Best use of a closer.

Osuna is a dicey situation. It's arguable that the jays could make another push towards the playoffs next year with a few moves. If the needed moves happen and theres even some chance of a bounce back from Tulo, travis being healthy more than 10 minutes. ...then maybe hanging onto Osuna makes sense.

 

Plus, if they're again out of it by the deadline, he's very tradeable assuming his arm hasn't blown out

I don't think we can wait that long. I get nervous everytime he takes the mound. Not because I think he will blow the game. But his arm will be f***ed at anytime if it isn't already.

 

He can't be pitching to many back to backs. Especially in day games after night games.

Tulo isn't going anywhere anytime soon and management isn't giving up on Travis yet, unless Travis is involved in the trade.

 

I'm not talking about a permanent replacement, but I don't think Tulo and Travis have both played 100 games together, and Tulo has been on the team since July 2015. That's scary. We need to plan as if we have to field 3 middle infield positions, because sure opening day next year we will have Tulo at short and Travis at 2B, but it's not far fetched to think that one of them won't be out by June. Having a 3rd guy floating around, with a utility Goins/Barney would be the best option IMO

The team needs a really good utility player. Someone who is less of a dropoff than Barney and Goins. In theory, that could be Lourdes.

Yes, a person who could play middle infield but also play half decent corner-OF would be ideal
