The ump has been very, very good. However, there have been a lot of borderline pitches.

 

Now the f***ing idiots in the booth saying he hasn't had a good game just because the players are whining.

 

I usually s*** on umps, especially home plate umps and their thirst for power but I'm 100% on Will Little's side here on both the job he's doing and his decision to eject all of those f***ing morons.

The ump has been hearing it all game from both sides, and clearly has had enough. I don't think this was a little man thing. With that said, it didn't appear there was any reason to toss Stroman there, and definitely not Martin. I think he's just fed up with all the complaining in general.

 

I wouldn't be surprised to see an Oakland player get tossed before the game is over either.

Should an ump really be able to throw players out for complaining about balls and strikes though? players should be thrown out for being abusive or delaying the game. Who cares if players are arguing with you - it doesn't interfere with your ability to do your job at all. Just call the plays. We're all just trying to watch a ball game and throwing out the starting pitcher and catcher so scrubs can come in ruins the whole game. Just so one guy doesn't have to listen to whining any more. If players want to be cry babies let them. If they start getting verbally abusive then you can throw them out.
