Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2017 Posted July 16, 2017 Why no love for KM? He's far from our worst player He replaced a fan favourite in EE, he's already 34, he's currently below replacement level, he has a 3 year contract when he'd have likely accepted a 1-2 year contract, and he prevents Pearce or Bautista being DH every day.

Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2017 Posted July 16, 2017 FWIW I thought the FO were wrong to give Smoak his extension too, but they saw something in him. If they saw something in Morales I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Maahfaace Verified Member Posted July 16, 2017 Posted July 16, 2017 Estrada is also done, fast ball 91 change up 89 is not gonna fool any body He throws a 2 seamer around 87-88 mph and a 4 seamer around 90 -91 mph. His change is below 80mph, usually in the mid to high 70s
Yippy Verified Member Posted July 16, 2017 Posted July 16, 2017 This team has zero speed on the basepaths
Yippy Verified Member Posted July 16, 2017 Posted July 16, 2017 Estrada is probably tipping his pitches
Jayday Verified Member Posted July 16, 2017 Posted July 16, 2017 WTF didn't Gibbonzo bring in osuna in the 8th while they got the lead ??????????????? What's odd is a few games back the jay hitters were selective at the plate ..taking walks seeing the ball ..then a complete turnaround the next day ..wildly flailing at pitches way off the plate, there's no good explanation for this ..except that baseball wants certain teams in the post season, make sure they all get a crack at the playoffs ..this keeps the vast majority of baseball fans happy ,or at least hopeful. <---- This is the best money making formula, and money is what it's all about ..for the players the sport and sponsors.

It's not like EE is lighting up the league this year... he's definitely not worth his contract either if Morales isn't worth his.

wamco Verified Member Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 I'm not ruling out an 800 ops for morales this year
rancher Verified Member Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 Maybe head office needs blowing up along with the team.
justafan Verified Member Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 You can't win without speed. A very important part of the game. This team has zero speed on the basepaths
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 You can't win without speed. A very important part of the game. You don't need speed to walk or hit home runs. A lot of people still believe in that methodology.
