Man does that outfield look horrible. Could see some really funky bounces.

 

IMO that is unacceptable by MLB standards. Turf looks better than that. I'd say that's embarrassing, but I've been to Detroit lately and that city is a dilapidated hell hole, so it's really not a surprise.

Steve Pearce is just the best.

 

Pearce is a good guy to have around for his bat. As far as being the best? I will still give it to Trout :P

 

The problem I see for the Jays moving forward is that Pearce is not a very good LFer; but 1B, where he should be playing, is occupied by Smoak. Maybe they should trade one of them. Or even better, unload Morales and let Pearce DH (may help him stay off the DL if he doesn't have to play D).

Maybe we can trick the Royals in taking Morales back.

 

Morales + $10M cash for impending free agent Cain? Might have worked if the Royals hadn't played themselves back into the wild card race, but now I don't think so.
