Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 Promoting Challenger Baseball by panning the camera to a few select kids in the crowd... someone may not have thought that one through.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 you know how hard it is to get a bases loaded double for 1 RBI
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 Classic Pillar base-running right there.
baubau Verified Member Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 Wtf Pearce Listening to the Astro's feed right now. Apparently Pillar had his head down and kept on running. So he "forced". Pierce was forced out. He was still slow, but I don't know if I can fault him if Pillar isn't looking ahead.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 is this the 100 loss Astros team? Even good young teams tend to lose ugly
KevinGregg Verified Member Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 Their offence is way more than capable of coming back from this.
KevinGregg Verified Member Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 That's on Pillar Pearce needs to recognize thats off the wall thats an easy read. everyone else in the park knew it
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 Pearce needs to recognize thats off the wall thats an easy read. everyone else in the park knew it Nah I rewatched the replay, the others are right, Pillar was at third just when Pearce rounded, Pillar wasnt looking ahead shoulda just parked at 2nd
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 Pearce needs to recognize thats off the wall thats an easy read. everyone else in the park knew it He did nothing wrong, the mistake there was by Pillar.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 That's on Pillar The out is on Pillar. Not scoring is on Pearce.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 And this just became my favourite game of the year
KevinGregg Verified Member Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 The out is on Pillar. Not scoring is on Pearce. Pearce f***ed up and Pillar should have noticed so they both made a mistake but the initial and biggest mistake was Pearce trying to tag on what was 1 ft away from a HR
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 And this just became my favourite game of the year How come lol beating the best team in the Majors?
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 What happened to Buck and Pat?
glory Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 LOL at Liriano still pitching in the 7th and promptly being pulled after one batter.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 I sure hate that Pillar guy. Yes I'm behind on the PVR.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 His line wasn't spectacular but holding the Astros down like that definitely bolds well for him being a moveable piece. Especially if he has a nice July.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2017 Author Posted July 7, 2017 His line wasn't spectacular but holding the Astros down like that definitely bolds well for him being a moveable piece. Especially if he has a nice July. Martin's OBP is .375, despite the bad luck of a .256 BABIP. He could return a nice piece. One of McGuire, Jansen, Pentecost should make it.

One of McGuire, Jansen, Pentecost should make it. Agree on the first part. Martin's value is limited with his contract. But if you look at everything but batting average where he really has terrible luck he's having a good season. Despite some injury setbacks. His off-season workout program has worked extremely well for him. His legs have been healthy all year. Just that shoulder and neck issue.
