Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Go Jays! I predict a big day for Smoak and a series win.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Pillar should have dove head first there. NO Ezequiel !!
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Wow Bautista, 3-2 fastball down the pipe.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Great job Carrera!!! Bautista on the other hand...2 fastballs down the middle after a 3-0 count and he Ks...really need him to get him going
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Wow Bautista, 3-2 fastball down the pipe. Yeah, he's clearly nowhere near what he once was.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Nice swing by Zeke... Jose looks like a whipped dog. he doesn't even have chirping energy left. just puts his tail between his legs and crawls back into the dugout.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Had to think about that for a sec ump?
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Nice job Zeke. Rays wanted that inside pitch but it was borderline. Jose struggles continue. I keep expecting old Jose to return but he seems in between on pitches more than I've ever seen for a sustained period.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Anybody want to bet Ordorizzi will get those calls?
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Pretty tight strikezone from this ump. Not giving the outside or inside corners.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Anybody want to bet Ordorizzi will get those calls? Well they didn't ring Zeke up and he hit a dinger later in the AB.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 This ump is already a f***ing disaster and it's only the first inning.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 That's pretty good self control by Maile to make sure the ball didn't go into the outfield.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Well they didn't ring Zeke up and he hit a dinger later in the AB. I don't recall that particular pitch tbh.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 I don't that particular pitch tbh. I think it was just out of the strikezone but some umps would have given it. It's still early, we need more of those pitches from both starters to determine if the ump is indeed a dud.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 A healthy Estrada is pretty to watch pitch. Guy knows how to mix.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Lol Kiermaier, give me a f***ing break.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 That's pretty good self control by Maile to make sure the ball didn't go into the outfield. Maile so far has been good behind the plate. What a massive upgrade.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 A healthy Estrada is pretty to watch pitch. Guy knows how to mix. He just knows to trust his catcher and focus on executing pitchers. Maile was asked what it was like to catch Estrada and he said he was baffled by the fact that Estrada didn't shake him off one single time. Buehrle really had a positive effect on estrada.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Why was that interference? I mean I'll trade Smoak for Travis on the bases any day of the week, but Smoak just didn't have anywhere to go.
