You really need to trade Lucroy or Posey for a bigger bat.

He can't be in the top 12 SS.
venema20 Verified Member Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Any better SS than Swanson? He can't be in the top 12 SS. Semien, Arcia, Cabrera, Profar, Saladino
Cyborg Verified Member Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Semien, Arcia, Cabrera, Profar, Saladino I'd take Semien over Swanson. You could also drop Joseph for him and see if Swanson breaks out.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Profar seems like a decent lottery ticket too...
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 I'm happy enough with my 12 team 7x7 (standard hitting, K's, QS, W, ERA, WHIP, K/BB, SVHD) C - Jon Lucroy 1B - Anthony Rizzo 2B - Trea Turner 3B - Mike Moustakas MIF - Jedd Gyorko CIF - Greg Bird OF - Yoenis Cespedes OF - Giancarlo Stanton OF - Andrew Benintendi OF - Matt Holliday Util - Eric Thames SP - Jacob deGrom SP - Stephen Strasburg SP - Rich Hill SP - Matt Shoemaker SP - Joe Kelly RP - Edwin Diaz RP - Andrew Miller RP - Addison Reed RP - Sean Doolittle BN - Steven Matz BN - Jameson Taillon BN - Francisco Liriano BN - Joe Musgrove Would really love to find a better MIF and 3B. I kept getting sniped during the draft and ended up with some deeply unattractive players. Moncada can't come soon enough!!

There's Bird(Yankees), Valencia, Cron, Josh Bell, Napoli, Carter, Gyorko. Not to much better than Agon. The Lucroy pick was me hoping he has a career year cause he's a free agent haha

The Lucroy pick was me hoping he has a career year cause he's a free agent haha Bird is better than Agon and Lucroy...pretty easily. E: well perhaps too early to say "easily" better than Lucroy but I honestly can't believe the starting 1B for the Yankees who has a lot of power and hits left handed, primed to hit in the middle of the order is just sitting in FA. Eric Hosmer is owned tho, lol.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 I bet its nice seeing everyone jump on the Bird train this spring!
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 I bet its nice seeing everyone jump on the Bird train this spring! I'm not even going off my own pro Bird bias. Steamer projects him for a 125 wRC+ with Agon at 106 and Lucroy at 109. Add in that Lucroy has less power and will play fewer games because he's a catcher and I think it's a pretty clear choice, though obviously Lucroy would be a catching upgrade for someone. E: and obviously I think 125 is light. Bird can hit the ball very hard and he has a great eye.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 oh I agree. I'm looking forward to Bird being the steal of the draft for me. Draft was right before he was named the starter and peeps there didn't seem to know about him.
baseballsss Verified Member Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Alright I jumped on him and put a waiver claim in for Bird and dropped Agon.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 You f***ed up on Drury, kid's a stud. At that point in the draft it was basically a choice between taking someone bad who likely won't play much, or taking someone decent and hoping they have a down year. I'm banking on Drury's bat struggling due to focusing on a new position, but who knows.

baseballsss Verified Member Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Draft was Tues night so everyone was on waivers. Put a claim in for him. thanks for your guys input!
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 If you're in a league where Bird is either a sleeper, or on the FA list. You need to find a new league.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 not all leagues are super competitive dude, no need to be a snob about it.
baseballsss Verified Member Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 not all leagues are super competitive dude, no need to be a snob about it. Yah it's literally me and my buddies in this league who don't know baseball that well. $25 each and basically just beak each other haha not competitive at all.
