Who here uses MLB TV to watch the WBC?

Thought this was thread worthy since maybe other members might have the same problem. Just bought the single team MLB TV package for the Jays season, and I was trying to watch the Netherlands vs Israel game and I got a blackout message. WTF. I think you might need the full package to get the WBC. I have it, so I will try and check tomorrow

Nope, MLB blacks it out in Canada. You'll need a VPN service. Probably a good idea to use one anyway and they aren't expensive.

Buy their stupid subscription every year and have yet to have any games blacked out (including Jays games).

 

Haven't tried the WBC yet (will test tonight), but the day they start blacking stuff out is the day I cancel this subscription.

Blackouts are because cable companies pay for exclusive rights. So Rogers/Bell has exclusive rights to broadcast the WBC in Canada.

 

I've heard if you live in LA you can't even watch ANY Dodgers/Angels games. You need to buy a cable package.
