TheHurl Site Manager Posted August 17, 2017 Author Posted August 17, 2017 Smoak hits 35HR. Ryan Goins will continue to be an important cog in the machine and become the starting 2B Justin Smoak will finally realize he plays for the Blue Jays and becomes a 4 WAR player Boxy all over it this year
Stoneyen Verified Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Getting to AA isn't bold, #1 prospect might be the boldest prediction in this thread and that's saying something About Vlad...didn't make it to AA but is in the conversation for #1!
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Tulo hit's for 120 wRC+ Andrew Benintendi puts up a 4+ fWAR season. Blake Rutherford becomes a consensus top 15 prospect Chris Sale + David Price get TJS. Red Sox still win 87 games and make the WC Bo Bitches become a consensus top 75 prospect. Houston Astros beats the Cubs in the world series. Jays make the playoffs for the 3rd straight year. Gary Sanchez posts a sub 110 wRC+ and hit's less than 25 HR's Got the Bo one right at least. Maybe the Astros too
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Got the Bo one right at least. Maybe the Astros too sanchez took a big step down this year too.,
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 sanchez took a big step down this year too., Having baby soft sensitive skin is not a step down.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 - Tulo has a "return to form" season, posting 5 WAR with a 135 wRC+ Tulowitzki hits 30 homers for only the third time in his career Tulo hit's for 120 wRC+ -Tulo hits a career high in homeruns Have never understood the misguided optimism for Tulo. I get that he was pretty good quite a while ago. He's broken down. He has 0 WAR.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 sanchez took a big step down this year too., Wat?
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Wat? maybe not big, but he was absoutley tearing the cover off the ball last year, this year still a respectable 130 wrc+
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 maybe not big, but he was absoutley tearing the cover off the ball last year, this year still a respectable 130 wrc+ He's like the 2nd or 3rd best catcher in baseball man. Nobody should have expected him to repeat the wRC+ of 170
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Jays will finish in the basement in the AL East Some of us saw a bad season coming.

Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Smoak: .370 BA 50 HR Book it. I'm still a little ways away.
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 ...but predicting Smoak would hit 35 HR when he hit 32 HR in the previous two years with a season's worth of PA is really not that bold. Might as well have predicted that he becomes an every day player in 2017...which I guess is still kind of bold.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 -Kevin Pillar leads the Blue Jays in WAR -Salty hits more homeruns than Martin -Tulo hits a career high in homeruns -Morales out produces Edwin -Travis plays 150+ games -Blue Jays lead the AL in blown saves -J.P. Howell has an ERA over 6 and gets released -Sean Reid-Foley becomes an impact reliever down the strech -One of our first round picks from the June draft will play in the big leagues this year. -Vlad Jr. makes it to High A and struggles immensely. Almost struck out 3 times here lol
