o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 We are looking at a 0-3 Start here, Dont mean to alarm anyone. the first couple of weeks all that is important is that guys get in their reps and progress. Spring is about getting ready for game 1 of the 162 that actually matter.
BigBulgeBlueBird Verified Member Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 Biagini looked solid, but all downhill after him. Could be a real struggle this spring for the boys!

Who gives a fawk about 0-3 .....who cares if we go 0 for spring....key is to get in shape, work on new pitches, get the basic plays down pat, try new plays etc etc etc......There is no prize for the spring...
King Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 It wouldn't be a spring training GDT without Gruber s***ing all over the thread making rash assumptions about a minor league players future.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 Urena having a really bad day. His defense will never play at SS in the bigs. It's one game in Spring Training...Jesus Christ.

Rash? Assumptions? His D numbers match the eye test perfectly. We don't need 7 years worth of data in order to conclude that Urena's defense will be an uphill battle that he probably won't win. I seemed to have assumed correctly in the past.

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 Ryan Goins being an MLB calibre player. You mean the league he's been predominantly in the past three years? Gotcha big guy..
King Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 http://www.milb.com/player/index.jsp?sid=t435&player_id=643386#/career/R/hitting/2014/ALL That was a board meme. No one actually expected him to become an MLB player. You mean the league he's been predominantly in the past three years? The league he's been replacement level at, yep.
MunenoriKawasakiMVP Verified Member Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 Guys calm down about Urena. Every fielder (especially middle infielders) has bad days (i.e Travis).

L54 Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 So being replacement level while sticking in the MLB is not a major accomplishment? LOLLLLLLLLLLLL Board meme my ass.. Is -1 WAR replacement level? We've seen peak Ryan Goins. He was worth one and a half wins. That is not an MLB caliber player, that's a player who had an MLB caliber season. You're such a blow hard.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 2016 voted BJMBs Dumbest Poster on full display in this thread! Go home and stop hanging out at the 7-11.
BTS Community Moderator Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 You mean the league he's been predominantly in the past three years? Gotcha big guy.. The league he somehow managed to put up -1 WAR at in a third of a season before being banished to the minors.

That is not an MLB caliber player, that's a player who had an MLB caliber season. You're such a blow hard. He's played more games in the MLB than in the minors in the past four years. I've only said he's 25 man worthy where everybody else had him selling hot dogs four years ago. You all were wrong. No big deal, discussion over.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 Buddy you're so stupid. -1 WAR is not 25 man worthy. He hit worse than an NAIA All American would've last year.

I believe you said he'd have a 10+ year career as valuable major league player. Months later he was sent to the minors after one of the worst individual seasons in franchise history.

You're such a f***ing moron. I don't give a f*** what his WAR was/is. Did he or did he not stick the past four years?
