Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 Be more specific meat Like half an hour before gates open. Hey, I'll buy the tickets, you get the alcohol bill. Yahooo!!!
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 What time do the gates open before game time? So for the bobblehead days, what time do you recommend getting down to the ballpark at? I’m thinking 1pm tomorrow is a safe bet for the bobblehead. People usually go nuts for bobblehead days but in my experience it feels like they give out more than the advertised 15,000. They just wanna get people in the stadium early so they spend 50$ on food. I think the only times I actually missed a giveaway was if I showed up a half hour or less to first pitch.

Plus everyone might be hungover after tonight's win haha
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 What time do the gates open before game time? So for the bobblehead days, what time do you recommend getting down to the ballpark at? Every game me and my wife went to last year, we went early. Gates always opened around 5:30 and if you got in with that early group, you'd catch a bunch of the away team's BP. There were also other unexpected perks like their payment system being down on the team's first game back in Toronto so they just gave us everything for free. And we got first dibs at looking at like a year and a half worth of exclusives and authentics in the Jays shop since nobody else was around. Today we were in Downtown from like 10 am because my wife was part of a charity basketball game on the Raptors court. We grabbed food and headed over to the Skydome gates at like 4-4:30 and the gates opened 4:45 ish, maybe 5? Guessing it was early today because of opening day. When we got in, a few Jays were still taking BP. I've heard you should get there three hours early on giveaway days so we're gonna try that tomorrow and see.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 3 Hours Early?!?! Think if it as that much more tailgating
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 Think if it as that much more tailgating At the Pub's, sure.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 Think if it as that much more tailgating Probably gonna rain today though
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 Probably gonna rain today though I'll just buy a bobblehead from someone off Kijijji or Facebook Marketplace haha
BlueJays Verified Member Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 I was checking the Yankees on June 17th to 19th yesterday and all of the tickets are sold-out already. I should had bought one.

BlueJays Verified Member Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 Father Day weekend. I guess just wait or keep checking on Ticketmaster. s***. You are right. I should had bought the tickets yesterday when it was available. 115 section was only for $50. Checking other games, feels like the prices went up.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 A bunch of tickets were just released on the Jays site. Picked up a pair in Sec 230 for $90 each.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 Still lots of bobbleheads gates 14 and 15. No lines
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 A bunch of tickets were just released on the Jays site. Picked up a pair in Sec 230 for $90 each. Ticketmaster always releases dozens of tickets hours before the game. That's the batch of tickets they reserve for staff, friends and family, etc.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 We got here a little under 2 hours before game time today (around 1:10-1:15 PM for a 3:07 PM start time). Parked at the 65 Navy Wharf lot on Bremner which walks out right in front of Gate 11. Gates were already open, didn't really have to wait since line was moving fast and there were tons of bobbleheads still available.

I walked around the 200 level and around 1:45PM-2PM there were still bobbleheads available at Gate 4. When I walked around to Gate 12 none were available. Though yeah as long as you show up right when the gates open or shortly after, you should be fine getting a bobblehead. No need to tailgate for 3 hours haha.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 Long shot, but anyone who has an adult + senior ticket this season want to swap? I have 200 level infield seats on May 20th but I won't be able to go. Since I bought one adult and one senior it's hard to resell on stubhub

Any board member who is 50+ on here (e.g. The Hurl), should buy this game off of you.

If I recall when you scan the tickets at the gate it will show a red/green, but I'm not sure if there is a screen that the attendant sees that indicates if its an adult or senior.

The Green/Red I'm assuming means the ticket is valid/not valid. I don't think any middle-aged adult would have a problem walking through the turnstiles with a senior ticket. The attendants at the turnstiles just stand there and welcome people in or help people scan the barcode. Most of them are young anyways paying their way through college, doubt they have the audacity to approach someone in their 40s or 50s and ask if they're a senior.
CrackerJack Verified Member Posted April 25, 2022 Posted April 25, 2022 I might have a few mid-week games this season that I can't attend. Awesome pair. Very close to the field. Reasonable price. If you live in the GTA and can get down to a Jays game on short notice (like the day before) then send me a pm, and I'll reach out to you if a game becomes available. Cheers
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2022 Posted April 25, 2022 I might have a ticket or two for the I Mother Earth show at the Phoenix on Saturday (definitely have 1, but another guy is now not 100% sure that he can come). They're GA tickets and it's not sold out (at least not yet) so there's probably no point in buying them from me, but hey. Sure, they're not baseball tickets, but the thread title isn't specific...
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2022 Posted April 25, 2022 I know it's far away but if anyone ever wants Bills tickets for this upcoming season let me know. Have seasons for the 2022-23 season in Sec 337 Row 9.

I had no idea they were still around. Is Edwin still their singer?
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2022 Posted April 25, 2022 I had no idea they were still around. Is Edwin still their singer? This show actually features both of their singers. Songs from all 4 albums, I assume back and forth between Edwin and Brian. Should be a great show, they've always had amazing live shows (full disclosure: they're buddies of mine, particularly their percussionist, so I'm probably biased )
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2022 Posted May 8, 2022 About a week away before this game. I absolutely can't go as I'll be leaving for Cuba the same day. Hoping to offload at 50% of the list price, otherwise I'm going to donate it. May 20th (Hat Day) 230R | Row 5 | Seat 7 (Adult) - list price was $82, selling for $41 (50% off) 230R | Row 5 | Seat 8 (Senior) - list price was $74, selling for $37 (50% off)

Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
