Not on here, but on kijiji. No kijiji has banned all ticket sales so I've gotta use facebook marketplace when I cant make it

 

Edit: Facebook marketplace has also banned their ticket sales, awesome.

 

$50 per seat if anyone on the board wants them, they are directly beside the TD comfort clubhouse

Those are right by the bar, get their early and grab a railing seat there at the bar. Great view and you don't have to go anywhere for drink and food.

I'd forgotten how much they jack up prices on opening day. Personally I HATE opening day at the park. It's primarily casual fans who are there to get drunk. No offense, but $115/ticket to sit in Section 235 (deep LF corner) is f***ing awful.

 

I'm looking at Sunday's game and I can sit right behind home plate for like $80/ticket - or I could take my whole family of 5 and sit Row 2 in the LF stands for less than 2 tickets to opening day. By the way - there are like a million tickets available for Sunday's game v. Texas. I find that odd. Do we think this is because kijiji and other sites have made it a lot harder to buy and scalp tickets?

To each their own. If you're sitting in the 500's you're probably right, but of the negative reasons you cite: price, casuals and loud drunk fans, are also consistent with playoff games too. The more interest there is in a game the more those three factors will rise as well.

The 200 level only has 12 rows so you're not dealing with as many drunken idiots with short bathroom and food/drink lines. It is definitely cheaper to go Saturday and Sunday, and even cheaper to go to weekday games if price is your biggest factor.

In terms of excitement and atmosphere opening day introduces the players and the game is consistently loud and intense, and typically more memorable than your typical Sunday game vs the rangers. So it really just depends what you're after. Even at that price point it is much cheaper than a night of entertainment from the leafs or raptors.

Friday and Saturday are expensive because it's the Home Opener and since Saturday is a bobblehead giveaway day.

 

I'm not a big fan of the Home Opener as well anymore especially at my age. It's mostly casual fans, the dome is packed full of people, lineups for concessions and washrooms and getting out of the downtown core by public transit or Uber will be a nightmare.

Your tickets are a great price in comparison to other similar seats on StubHub. I use to be crazy about the Home Opener when I was younger, but now it's not the end of the world if I go or not. Saturday is the game to go to for the bobblehead haha.

all good, I still get caught up in the excitement of Opening day myself but can't make it to the Friday night game after work, just came with my ticket pack. I know how you feel though, I could go to any of the 81 home games and be perfectly happy. Can definitely understand getting better tickets for cheaper prices.

I have 3 boys under the age of 11 too - all big Jays fans...Opening day isn't exactly the best environment to take them and it adds up when I need at least 4 tickets! hahaha - all the best man - I'm sure you'll sell them.

How much for the 4 tickets?

 

Depends on the game, but most are in the $30-40/ ticket range midweek for April and May. I have a few weekend games available they run around $50

 

I love my seats for the price. 1st row 200 level in LF is a great place to sit and its a slice of heaven during batting practice 😉

Im guessing prices will go up beginning of summer when the team is doing well. Lots of casuals probably couldn’t name a single player on the team right now (maybe Bo/Vlad).

 

I went to an engagement party for some relatives last week and when sports/baseball discussions came up they all just kept asking about Bautista. Don’t think they even knew about Vlad.

 

But yeah I feel like going to the dome April/May kinda sucks. Once they open the roof ticket sales will pick up

you aren't hitting any of the Group Sales discounts at that number (I think it's 25 for that) but the no service fees make it probably best to buy from them. Plus you get on their list at that point. You'll end up getting sent some offers for next year.

Yeah I must say, its been extremely easy to buy and exchange tickets this year.

 

I bought one of those quarter season packs and switched half the games to weeknights i’ll be in Toronto for work and giveaway games. Everything was extremely easy. And it was only like 20$ per ticket in the 500s behind home plate.

 

Its also extremely easy to list tickets you don’t want on stubhub. You can post directly to stubhub from your jays account.

 

Just waiting on my free MLBtv subscription voucher.

 

To anyone on the fence about buying a ticket pack, i’d say do it. The jays will be a hot commodity by June/July and prices will skyrocket if it’s anything like it was 2015. Plus its a lot easier to move/exchange tickets this year compared to previous seasons. Its worth buying a cheap package just to secure access to playoff tickets.
