Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 No. The round robin is being carried on HGTV this year and the playdowns are on MTV2. Didn't realize u were a comedian.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 Didn't realize u were a comedian. MLB Network

King Old-Timey Member Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 Good Article by Craig Edwards pointing out the talent levels of each team/individual players at the WBC http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/so-much-talent-in-the-wbc/
TheHurl Site Manager Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 AJ Ellis is on the US team...We're they looking for a true backup catcher or is he the bullpen catcher a thinly veiled attempt to get his bestie Clayton Kershaw to agree to play.
GodDonaldson Verified Member Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 So WBC officially started.. After Israel upsetted South Korea in the first game, they are now beating Chinese Taipei 4-0 in the first inning.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 So WBC officially started.. After Israel upsetted South Korea in the first game, they are now beating Chinese Taipei 4-0 in the first inning. Team Jewish Ancestry!
TheGrandslamMan Verified Member Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 Ouch. Just saw the roster for team Canada... That's awfully disappointing. I enjoy the WBC and the concept, but it would be nice if the players were more serious about it or perhaps MLB could offer better incentives in order go get the players to participate. Even just watching the Israel/Korea game today: no Hyun Soo Kim or Ryan Braun? weak
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 Korea's in trouble early on... Profar hit a 2 run bomb to take the Netherlands to a 2 run lead. Canada's blacked out... so you can watch the replay at 8 AM Est... on MLB Network, The Cuba vs Japan game just started on MLBN
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 Simmons goes yard... 3-0 this Dutch team is quite good. Simmons/Profar/Schoop/Bogaerts and Gregorius is a nice MLB contingent.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 Japan takes the early lead on the Cubans 1-0 in the bottom of the 1st.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 Simmons goes yard... 3-0 this Dutch team is quite good. Simmons/Profar/Schoop/Bogaerts and Gregorius is a nice MLB contingent. Team Curacao lol
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 This guy Yera for Cuba is the LHP Stroman 5' 7" lol
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 Team Curacao lol I guess it's a part of the Kingdom of Netherlands, right? Aruba and Curacao, yep.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 I guess it's a part of the Kingdom of Netherlands, right? Aruba and Curacao, yep. Yeah that's right. It just always seemed kind of odd.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 Yeah that's right. It just always seemed kind of odd. Well, the WBC isn't exactly strict about anything, really. And they are a part of the Netherlands Kingdom.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 Buck bringing up Stroman in regards to Yera... represent T.O Buck!!!
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 Japan keeps bunting with 1 out? Dumn...
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 Yamada 2 run bomb! Or not? Looks like the fan did what that KC fan did too us reaching over the fence. Fan interference... 2-1 Japan.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 waoooo Cespedes littlah brothah He looks good. A lot smaller obviously but good instincts. They keep talking about his arm as very good. Mind you this is through 4 and half innings, lol.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 Oduber 2 run HR for the Netherlands, now 5-0 in the bottom of the 6th... Korea's f***ed! Sakamoto cashes in a run on a dbl to left, 3-1 Japan.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 Matsuda cranks a 3 run Bomb to LF. This guy was getting wrecked by the media, etc, before the tourney started. He's 3 for 3 with 4 ribeyes 2 runs scored and a SB!!! 6-1 Japan!
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 (edited) 7-1 through 5... Cuba's getting schooled, as is Korea going into the bottom half of the 8th down 5-0 with 3 outs left. The Kingdom of Netherlands beat Korea 5-0... Korea needs a Festivus Miracle to get out of that group now. Edited March 7, 2017 by Spanky99
