RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 The Jays fanbase and this board in particular never did deserve Jose Bautista. Many of the regulars wanted to trade him after his fluke 2010 season for a package around Ivan Nova and Jesus Montero.

I guess the guy you were skeptical about really did want to play in Toronto and took less money to do so just like he said in his presser. I know he rubs many the wrong way, but he doesn't bother me with his words and actions. I'm a big Jose fan and I hope he kills it this year! Hometown discount it is then.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 It was probably Baltimore and he was like f*** that s***.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 He's been extremely humble this Spring. I think everyone wants to put that s*** behind them. Especially if he has a good season.

I hope he kills it from here until he's 40 like Ortiz, signing one or two year deals to stay with us until then.

I was ready for him to move on but I always liked him. Like a brother or friend whose antics you can get tired off when around them too much. Just hoping he comes back with a vengeance. After this off season, I am extremely glad he is back on our team.

puphood Verified Member Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 I thinks its obvious Jose is more serviceable in Left field these days unfortunately we have no one with a arm to slot in to Right. He is ready to play now and he going to have a big year.......So all you Bautista haters choke on it....
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 God knows Shatkins tried their best to land him in Cleveland, but Ownership forced their hand. Shatkins will do just about anything to make sure the Indians end up on top, wouldn't surprised me if Key internal scouting information was provided to Cleveland ahead of the Jays Indians series last year We should be investigating these two for corruption.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 Good trade bait at the deadline if the season goes south uh, never mind - 10/5 still applies

I can hate him and still want him to perform.

Ray Verified Member Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 I don't know why anyone in their right mind who's a Jays fan would want Bautista to have a bad year. People do realize he's on our team this season, right?
