Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 I'm probably alone but I love standing to watch games. If I have a s***** 500 ticket I'm standing in the corners. Walk around between innings, drink or eat as I please, easy bathroom breaks and you don't get cooked in the sun. Why not stand at the 100 level concourse, and do the same?
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 Greg Bird just tore the leather off a baseball... I can hear Boxys Boner from here.

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 Greg Bird just tore the leather off a baseball... This guy is gonna be a monster and Girardi officially christened him as the starting 1B. He's got some crazy power, it's a wonder why he didn't pop more dingers in the minors.
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 Bowden is tweeting that the White Sox are heavily shopping Jose Quintana, and that the Braves and Astros (Francis Martes + Kyle Tucker) are the front runners. Please god let AJ Reed become a White Sox. They could get a King's Random from Houston, with all of that organizations blocked prospects / young players. AJ Reed of course, but also Colin Moran or Tyler White as a throw in who has no spot in Houston. Teoscar Hernandez who has no spot. Tony Kemp, Preston Tucker, David Paulino - pick Reed + Tucker or Martes + any two of those names and it's a big win I think.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 Yes, f***ing please! I'd cry after moving him to you, lol.

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 What I meant, if I have a bad ticket I'm standing in the 100 concourse Yeah when I lost that bet to Spanky I gave him a s*** ticket and he went to the 100 level I think

Aaaand he just hit another moonshot, same area, just not quite as deep as the first one, got out a lot quicker though.

First one was probably 450 feet to CF, second was a 425 ft line drive to right. 5 are bee eyes Oh man, I've run out of juice.

Tthe Yankees aren't spending $600M+ in a single offseason. Even if they could who cares? I've got every bit of confidence in this FO building a perennial contender for under $200M. I am the only who believes we won't be seeing a rebuild in TO anytime soon?

If the Yankees can get both Machado and Harper and stay under budget they will. A re-tool on the fly is more likely than a re-build for us.

I could see re-tooling, i.e. selling some stuff off for a season or two and putting the team in a position to win 78-81 games or so. I don't know that we will see an intentional firesale where we plan on losing 90-100 games though.

Their going to need $ if any of that traded/home grown talent makes anything of themselves. You know better than this Spanky!

I can see it when the 6 of the other starting bats are making league-minimum or near it, depends on what their staff takes up though, I believe it might be doable. Especially if they integrate their(Harper/Machado) salaries between years or something. Just spit-balling.
TBJ12 Verified Member Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 Cashman isn't Steinbrenner. I think your s*** balling here Spanky! Yankees just haven't been the same free spending team under Cashman IMO.

Plus it's Dumbrowski, this s*** can happen, bro, lol. It's a lofty "IF" but legit possible.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 Apparently Manfred isn't interested in adopting the new extra innings rule in International Baseball. Good news.
TBJ12 Verified Member Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 What? The Yankees have been under Cashman since 1998. Do you mean Steinbrenner's kids? Guess I do. My point was the Yankees aren't spending money like they used to. Anyone who thinks Cashman is spending $600M on two players in the same off-season is kidding themselves. I fully expect one of the two end up Yankees though.
TBJ12 Verified Member Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 Cashman finally has control of the team without the Steinbrenner interference. Anyone who follows baseball as closely as you doesn't need my input to understand this. Are the Yankees still going to spend? Hell ya they are! $600M on two players during the same offseaon though? I really don't think i'm being unreasonable here.
