Jays jumped ship just in time!

Little to early to claim that.....I'm sure he will be fine....but even though its ST it probably wasn't a joyous day for the GM watchin that

Good luck getting that ERA down in ST. He probably won't even make the starting roster now. I heard the Cards only allow pitchers with 4:00Sub ERA's on the roster.

lol @ the literal football score by the A's and D-backs today. Not sure how many arms made a very good case for being a 25th man today.

With 2 HR's total... weird!

I'm buying Indians tickets tomorrow when they go on sale. I am absolutely amazed how many tickets price points there are. Really like the site for finding prices I might add. This was a Shapiro pricing strategy...do you think this is something which could work in Toronto?

They added a few tiers already this year. I think once they renovate the stadium you would see an overhaul. If they're replacing all the seats and adding/subtracting sections in a few years not much point in doing it.

I'm not sure the changes (prices) would be fan friendly though. All that ends up happening is price increases in the first few rows as they aren't going to decrease prices.

I got a chance to look at a ticket analytics program for the Hartford Yard Dogs (which has nothing to do with the FBI investigation they are under) and it was a cool program (nothing that they could put in place as they don't have the luxury to do so in the minors). The future of seating might end up with every few rows paying different prices.

On a related note..

If I were a smart ass programmer, I would program a way to scrub through stubhub's ticket listings a few minutes before the listings are deleted (2nd inning I think?)

It would then report to me a map that shows all the seats that had been unsold.

Armed with that information, I would make my way to the good seats (after buying a cheap 500 ticket) and use it to sit in a good area.

that way I don't have to waste money on a good seat ticket when another one that was unsold could be available.

He's not wrong.

He may not be wrong that they don't care about him as a person, but where he is wrong is that they shouldn't.

Correct..... I am sure Ryan Goins is a pretty nice guy..... I could give a s*** about him if he keeps hitting like a monkey swinging a wet noodle.. Baseball and personal are 2 different things. I am sure most athletes realize this.

The thing about mercenaries is they go wherever the most money is, and you're paying for the right to not care about them.

If you had a gravelly enough voice you could read this as a voiceover for a sci fi war movie trailer. Take an audible drag on a cigarette in between 'is' and 'and'.

Coulda told you that. Their fanbase is insufferable.

Seems like his only substantial complaint is about the media not asking him about his charity. I think a lot of local media would have given him the kind of fluff piece about his charity work that he was looking for. Other than that, I don't really think that fans are all that different anywhere. Deep down, they only really care about the results on the field.

Nothing stops you from doing this now. You'd potentially run into problems though as brokers have tickets listed on other platforms so while they could go unsold on stubhub they could be sold on a different site that doesn't go off the board as early as stubhub does.

He needs to craft a Trivago version then :P

I wish I had known this before a draft tonight, lol.

Well how high did you take him? I can't imagine his demand was that high. I don't draft until the night before the first game of the season. But he was pretty abysmal last year.
