Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 One last plain and simple answer. The raw data from past playoffs doesn't support giving the Cubs that kind of advantage. I believe that the numbers should be much closer to 12.5% and 50% so I took action on it. You are again putting yourself in a paradigm where you are smarter than the system... You claim you are logical person. If you are smarter than the system, and you are logical, you should be taking advantage of it, until they change the system. If you are right, logically it makes sense for you to bet huge sums of money on every playoff game over a number of years you will get richer and richer, by the time they find out that someone is gaming them, you will have made multi-millions, eventually you will effect the system, they will change it,
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 I didn't catch the game so I saw the highlights... wow how was Lackey not ejected for barking at the umpire so much?
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 What's worse? The Steve Bartman play The Bill Buckner play
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 I didn't catch the game so I saw the highlights... wow how was Lackey not ejected for barking at the umpire so much? The ump realized the game wasnt about him and just sucked it up.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 The ump realized the game wasnt about him and just sucked it up. Yeah while it was refreshing to see, I still think there is limits. You can't keep barking over and over again, that was embarrassing by Lackey lol
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 What's worse? The Steve Bartman play The Bill Buckner play Buckner obviously
Dr Negative Verified Member Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Lackey is probably the least likable player in all of baseball.

Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 You are again putting yourself in a paradigm where you are smarter than the system. You need to understand that betting lines are influenced more by betting patterns than the quality of the teams themselves. Anyone who makes an emotionless bet is saying that they are smarter than the other betters. That's what makes it fun.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Exactly..let Lackey embarras himself. No one would have faulted the ump for tossing him but he didnt need to. I like your take on it lol

However (Obviously) betting patterns are influenced by the quality of the teams. lol
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Buckner obviously Agreed. It was just a foul ball... And yet the vitriol he took was insane.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 This is true. However (Obviously) betting patterns are influenced by the quality of the teams. lol Of course. I meant that as well if it wasn't clear.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Jason Kipnis is very good, I very much enjoyed the cub fans' tears last night lol
Mittens87 Verified Member Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 The Cubs run differential in the series is worse than when we played them at the game 4 mark. Just goes to show we would of stomped the Cubs
Stevecool Verified Member Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Yup. I wish we had played Boston instead. Cleveland was so underrated. Seems very had them picked as finalists with their injuries.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Cleveland was so underrated. Seems very had them picked as finalists with their injuries. I thought Cleveland and Toronto were the two best teams in the A.L. Doesn't surprise me. What surprises me is the way the Cubs are playing
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Boston were the best team in the AL. Having 3 bad games in the playoffs doesn't change that.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Hopefully Cleveland wraps this up tonight. I don't really want to see the season go into November.

Mittens87 Verified Member Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 That's not how baseball works. I know but the way the Cubs are playing I think toronto would of had a good shot against the Cubs at least going 6 or 7 games. Indians were better than us though so will never know
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Yer dum Nah I'm done watching this Indians team.

dineke Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Why would anyone cheer for the Indians at this point. I want to see a game 6 and especially a game 7.

jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Eat s*** Don't you bet on the indians literally every year? They must have had 25-1 or better odds to win at the start of the year
