My advice, click on the price level instead of best available. And when you see a new one pop up, just click that one meaning likely some seats became available. I did that for Game 1 (Lower Box Front popped up randomly so I was always selecting that one, and I got in). Game 2, same thing for Field Box Middle.

Got a pair for Game 2, Sec 152, Row Y. Says view is limited because sitting behind a net, though I'm assuming that is the next behind the plate then.

Yeah the net goes from homeplate all the way to the dugouts. Still fine though, you can see everything

Upper Box and Field Level Bullpen are the only 2 sections ive seen on there, unfortunately it keeps saying nothing available

Edit: new section popped up and every time I select it "We're sorry, we were unable to process your request due to high transaction volumes. Please try to submit your request again"

This site is a joke, I give up

I'm thinking of going to game 6 if there is one

I'm in Toronto for the weekend and might rent a car to head down

Normally this restaurant is just is open during the game and anyone can go in. So my tickets give sort of exclusive access to it including food?

When I went to Progressive earlier this year, all the way from 1st - 3rd had netting and even above your head zero chance of foul balls to catch, I was not impressed as I brought my glove haha

We're in the smartphone era, probably a wise choice to prevent the inevitable.

There is no point in catching a foul ball because then you have to give it to a damn spoiled, privileged kid who doesn't even like baseball.

Do I cheer for a game 6 to happen or not

These sweeps are kinda fun

Lmao

A good scenario would be us winning the series in game 5, we get to watch 3 home games and a series win. Id be suprised if this series didnt go at least 6 though

If you bring a glove and it doesn't smoke a child and then bounce in your lap that ball is all mine, don't care how many boos I get, come prepared in life next time kid.

Do you guys know if Cleveland has a stubhub cutoff? When I was in Seattle they stop selling on stubhub hours before the game. I was going to wait until the last second and buy something on my phone outside the stadium.

Call StubHub and ask, or maybe try and do a google/reddit search. Each ballpark is different, so sometimes there is a cutoff on Stubhub like 2-3 hrs before a game e.g. Seattle, Citi Field etc. from my experience. Also, check if they do allow scan in's from StubHub. Not every ballpark does.

Another site to use is Vivid Seats, which isn't bad. I'd recommend taking a look at how many tickets are available Thursday night and if there are still a lot, then check back Friday morning/early afternoon. Thing with waiting until 7-8PM is that the selection might not be the greatest if people start scooping up tickets earlier that day, plus then you'll be on the app or sitting in front of a computer refreshing for hours, which at the end of the day might not be worth spending all that time taking the chance to save an extra $10-20.

Also, have an idea of what each price level costs face value, so when purchasing on StubHub, you know how much more you're paying for that seat. Set a number that you're comfortable with going over face value (e.g. $50-$75 more), and then if something good pops up and within the budget you set, then pick them up. Thing with StubHub is the fees will screw you over more then anything.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm familiar with Stubhub mostly for selling but I have used it to buy just not games in demand like this.

I think you're going to have to pay more then face value regardless. That's why, come up with a number you and your friends are comfortable with going over face value and then when you come across something decent on Friday, scoop them up. You can maybe wait until later that evening, though the worry is the selection might not be the greatest and that the best valued seats are all gone.

I think we're going to go Friday but only going to the game Saturday for sure. If we get a deal Friday may take in that one too.

Of course hotels are completely picked over downtown. $400+ a night for anything not a dive.

I booked my hotel before the Tribe clinched last night because I knew stuff would get booked up quickly shortly afterwards. I'm staying at the Renaissance, which is 5 mins away from the ballpark. I'm going down with a buddy, so we're splitting the cost which isn't bad. Hotel taxes are what kills you. Total for two nights was $550, so paying $225 each. If I find anything else better beforehand, could always cancel. Not much of a selection for AirBNB's as well (probably not that big in Cleveland as it is in cities like San Fran, New York etc).

Other options are staying outside the city around the airport, though you'd have to drive in for the games. If you just plan on going to the games, then that should be fine, though if you plan on going out for beers before & after the game, probably just best to stay downtown.

Smart plan. I think my friend booked something by the airport. I've been to Cleveland and I won't be walking more than a few blocks and only in areas with lots of people so we probably would have been cabbing at some point anyways.
