Governator Community Moderator Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Okay...... So here is what I am struggling with as a strategy... Should we have another starting pitcher go tomorrow such as Liriano regardless and save Sanchez for the "Tie Breaker or Wild Card" game? At the end of the day, It is about having our best pitcher for winning the "Wild Card" game. So if we loose tomorrow we exhausted Sanchez and personally if I had to choose between giving up home field advantage or having Sanchez pitch in Baltimore I would take Sanchez pitching before anything else in a do or die game! Yes, yes, I know 3 way tie but odds of that are slimmer than any other outcome!!! I think throwing back to back lefties to the red sox is a bad idea, we haven't clinched anything yet and Stroman is really really good...

I find it really hard to get as emotionally involved with other sports. Watching your team a couple times a week just doesn't compare.
FrozenRopes Verified Member Posted October 2, 2016 Author Posted October 2, 2016 I start Dickey tomorrow...
Ssyen Verified Member Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 A tie-breaker is a de facto playoff, good keep the fan base and push Rogers to invest more on payroll going forward.

Watching your team a couple times a week just doesn't compare. Agreed. I used to cheer soccer teams in Europe for a while and have loyal allegiance to them... until game 5 of the ALDS when Bautista did his bat flip. Only then did I realize what it truly meant to SUPPORT a team. Since then I don't really have a favourite team that isn't geographically near me, and I don't call myself a "die hard fan" of any team other than the Jays
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 I wonder if ratings crossed 2 million today

thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Relax time. Great game Pillar, sometimes we love you, you too Carerra. This one feels extra good - Boom Boom Boom!!!!!! Not sure I've ever been this relieved to see that gif, other than maybe ALDS G3 or G5 (although the latter was more pure ecstasy).
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Sanchez Hopefully we get the win and a Wild card spot no matter what.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 f***ing nelson cruz and cano
STLJaysFan Verified Member Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Wow...the umpires got THAT ground-rule double correct!!!
STLJaysFan Verified Member Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Maybe Danny Valencia will help out his former team. I noticed that Olerud guy doesn't show up on the forum when Toronto wins.
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Man imagine a 4 way tie for the wild card? Lol
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Cano and Nelson Cruz bat to keep the Mariners season alive! This is awesome!
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Insane that after 160 games it comes down to the final game, and may even require tie breakers. Amazing!!
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Mariners eliminated! Nice job A's!! That was a crazy game, glad I watched it.
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Wow the disappointment on the faces of the Seattle men. Baseball will break your heart

Effit Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 s*** like tonight makes me glad the only sport I like is baseball. Can't imagine having to do this more than once a year. I'm pretty bad when it comes to the Raptors, but still doesn't compare to the Jays, nothing ever will. Both have been rapidly aging me for many years. I let the Leafs do it for a lot of years too, but I've all but managed to kick them to the curb. Hockey is my least favourite and someone had to be sacrificed so that I can make it to age 40.
