THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Stroman's problems are between the ears. He has less sense for pitching than any Jays pitcher I remember seeing. Very true. He used to have a good idea before he was called up, hell, even if 2014. It wasn't until Buerhle got in his head about pitching to contact that he started pitching bad. He stubbornly fell in love with the sinker and stopped caring about the strikeout. Since the end of July though, Martin and Walker seem to have got him back on track with the odd mental blunder over pitch selection.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 come on pompey...let's roll
GoJays1562 Verified Member Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 A promising inning turns to 2 outs.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Hit and run now. Meatball on the steal too. Just swingggggg.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 I really hate Gibbons so much. After the visit to the mound, Gibby should have put on the hit and run. You know you're getting a fastball for a strike in that situation, and Pillar got a perfect pitch on the outer half to shoot the other way.
KevinGregg Verified Member Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 That's like travis' first walk from the leadoff spot I think
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 JD hero time, right here, right now!

Pillar just put himself in a two-strike count to watch the SB attempt play out. Pompey still couldn't make it happen despite the wildish throw.
KevinGregg Verified Member Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 The knock down fastball
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Ugly. Just 2 hits..
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Horrible AB's today. JD swing 2-1 ffs.
KevinGregg Verified Member Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Waiting for some 9th inning magic at our 2nd home stadium. I like it
Floortom Verified Member Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Pompey would have had to steal another two bases for us to get a run anyway

Pompey still couldn't make it happen despite the wildish throw. It was really unlucky as the throw sailed to the second base side and Cano tagging Pompey's leg.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 If the Sox win today it's pretty much over
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Frustrating. Some hard hit balls but only 2 hits. Brutal. Yesterdays outburst was a mirage so far. I really thought they would come out ripping today. Felix has been s*** lately.
ChrisS Verified Member Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 If the Sox win today it's pretty much over We aren't catching them either way
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Still can't understand why Gibbons wouldn't leave yesterdays lineup intact. Chemistry.
AnthonyWeinersWeiner Verified Member Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Felix HAS been s*** lately, but of course, the Jays show up and he's suddenly back to being the ace King Felix.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 I don't get why they didn't put Jose at 1B and Pompey in RF. We'd have better D.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 I don't get why they didn't put Jose at 1B and Pompey in RF. We'd have better D. It's not like you can put anyone at 1B
