Slade Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 RIP in pepperonis 2016 Blue Jays.
King Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Also isn't it illegal to throw your glove at the ball? I believe it counts as a ground rule triple or something if a fielder throws their glove at the ball to stop it I want to say only if it hits it. But not 100% sure.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Alex Meyer came into this game with an era over 8

I believe it counts as a ground rule triple or something if a fielder throws their glove at the ball to stop it Rule 7:05 C: "Each runner including the batter-runner may, without liability to be put out, advance -- © Three bases, if a fielder deliberately throws his glove at and touches a fair ball. The ball is in play and the batter may advance to home base at his peril." I guess the glove didn't touch the ball? (Or it was deemed he didn't intentionally throw the glove but rather it came off accidentally?)
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Meyer just throating this lineup
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Rule 7:05 C: "Each runner including the batter-runner may, without liability to be put out, advance -- © Three bases, if a fielder deliberately throws his glove at and touches a fair ball. GoJays1562 Verified Member Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 This is like a carbon copy of last nights game. Base runners on and can't move them. Unknown pitcher looking like Cy Young. Hitting into DP's and Travis and Edwin running into outs at 3rd base.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Mariners are probably thinking they can sweep us and get into the 2nd WC
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 This guys clearly the righty chris sale
el duque Verified Member Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 This team is a lost cause I think the team has a lot of talent is the coach and the lack of strategy every single game
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 6 K's through 4. Holy f*** this line up is ice cold with men on base. Another leadoff 2B taken care of @ 3B for the 1st out. We have to come back and win this. Let's go Jays!
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Stroman is just so hittable
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Why are s*** teams so good at manufacturing runs against the Jays
