burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 I suppose that makes sense. I just think it would really wake up those Monday and midweek games. We are going to draw over 40k on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. At least early in the season it could give us a nice boost. I don't think the Sundays would be nearly as popular without the promos. Perhaps the ones in the summer but not so much the April/May
Jonzo Verified Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 I'm also not happy about the fact that we will have less than 24 hours to review and think about which games to purchase. I've never seen the packs on sale this early, could they be trying to cash in before a potential collapse?

Now all of a sudden with no advanced warning they go on sale tomorrow? I definitely think they're trying to cash is while popularity is still high in case the playoffs are missed. A 3-8 September isn't helping their cause though

I don't know what my f***ing schedule is like next year, so I guess I will just grab all the Sunday home games for bobble heads and then hope my schedule works for the other 14 or so games I randomly pick as well, such ********. Usually the Flex Packs would go on sale in November and I would have my work schedule for the next year already. Sometimes I wish I had Monday - Friday but then remember how boss it is to go grocery shopping on a Tuesday afternoon with no lineups or running errands around town before traffic buttf***s everyone.

CrackerJack Verified Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Are the Jays the only MLB team that hasn't made a deal with Stubhub? (now that the Yankees & Stubhub have come to an arrangement) Wonder whether the new Jays regime will change that?
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 What kind of work do you do? Rogers web streaming of all NHL/Jays games, presser streams and on demand s***.

Yep, the more I think about it the more I want to tell them to f*** themselves and just not renew.

Me too but I get 50% off with work so it isn't as bad but for the general public it is hot garbage. But that might change, we used to get Raptors tickets for 50% off too until that bandwagon filled up and now we get no discounts.
AdamGreenwood Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 From the FAQ: "Why have Game Packs replaced Flex Packs? Why 20 Games, 12 Games & 6 Games? We did a lot of research and fan surveys to better understand what our fans want, their trends and habits. These new Game Packs are a reflection of what the fans told us. Game Packs differ from Flex Packs by offering different levels of flexibility, savings and benefits." I wrote them asked to take away all choice and flexibility from my six game flex pack. Glad to see they listened.

AdamLindsMom Verified Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 I'm hesitant to buy one too. This team could be an 81-81 team next year if they do nothing to replace JB and EE. I was listening to Blair this morning and he was saying Shapiro presented 3 different scenarios to ownership. Increasing payroll x percent, staying the same or decreasing x percent and how they thought that would affect performance and revenues. What if they do decide to go to a $130 mil payroll and I'm stuck with 20 tickets for a s*** team that I live 3 hours away from. There's no excuse for this team not to be spending $180-200 mil on payroll. I'm not saying spend it overnight stupidly but they definitely have the revenues to support that.
AdamGreenwood Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 I think Votto would replace EE's production pretty easily, and would create enough of a buzz to drive ticket sales and help fans forget about the loss of EE and JB.

I would also venture to guess that payroll will either: stay the same, increase, or decrease. This f***ing guy basically says NOTHING in all of his interviews, he's a horrible guest to have on any show.

CBlake Verified Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 When are they going to release the dam categories for each ticket , so people can decide what they want to buy? Figure there won't be much difference between c and d games, the real jump and be between A and B.
Jonzo Verified Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Schedule released, 'categories' still not available though. They're really giving people a lot of time to select games

bnnguy Verified Member Posted September 14, 2016 Author Posted September 14, 2016 My big question now is what they will do with the Promotions - note the schedule wont be coming out anytime soon. Let most people order their tickets then change promos to midweek games noone has ordered?
CBlake Verified Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Also have they announced the price breakdown by A,B,C,D so you could get an idea on what you might be spending and can play around with price scenarios.

CBlake Verified Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 I am not expecting a big rush for them during the renewal period starting tomorrow. I picked mine up this past Jan. with ease.

Pulk_Pull Verified Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 I am buying what Hurl said earlier in the thread. Too much flexibility for the buyer, and thus ticket brokers. While it may suck for out-of-towners and the like, it's kind of hard to fault a team for simply doing away with an antiquated system, and catching up the league standard with dynamic pricing. It blows my mind that I paid ~$100 bucks a seat for 81 games in the 500 level so many years in a row with the ballpark pass...
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Logged on to see what the seats for a 20 game pack would be and it doesn't even work. Website is horrible as always.
jglicksm Verified Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Logged on to see what the seats for a 20 game pack would be and it doesn't even work. Website is horrible as always. You have to go through account manager. The cues are really long now. System is archaic and SLOW. Given they don't necessarily share you views as to best available seats it may not matter that there is a delay to get in. I think there isn't a link on purpose so that only existing users try to get in.
bnnguy Verified Member Posted September 15, 2016 Author Posted September 15, 2016 Spinning wheel of death for an hour now ... I've requested 500s so it eventually goes through and gives me crap seats I will just cancel and try my luck game to game next season. Your loss Blue Jays!
