ChrisS Verified Member Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Maybe he has an undisclosed injury, possibly to the glove hand. I hope he gets out of this funk.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 It's called a slump They happen
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Donaldson will never get a hit again. Book it.
intrigid Verified Member Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Hasn't he had, like, a whole bunch of line drive fluke outs that would normally be hits during his 0-fer? Not to mention a bunch of walks as well?
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Harper had a similar drought this year, and he too won MVP last year. I just hope he's gonna go on a tear like he did against Minny and Baltimore until the end of the season starting with the Rays. Timing is everything so if he can get hot for these next 2-3 weeks and he can extend it into the postseason, I'd rather him be cold nowß
glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 One of the best players in baseball has had a bad week. Panic time.
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 It could be an issue with the thumb or something else. He could be playing hurt. Then again it just might be a slump. He's gotten a lot of pitches down the middle that he's just missed instead of mashing, and there have been some hard hit balls right at fielders.
youngtea Verified Member Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 It's a swing issue. He's fouling off most of his power contact. He just needs to fine tune his swing.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 He is def finished Trade him in the off season for some prospects
TheHurl Site Manager Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 This thread is truly the meeting of the greatest baseball minds.

puphood Verified Member Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Everyone complains about Tulo being fragile how many times has Donaldson been off due to injuries this season, and when does it become a concern?
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Everyone complains about Tulo being fragile how many times has Donaldson been off due to injuries this season, and when does it become a concern? Donaldson has played 26 more games than Tulo and played in 158 games the last 3 seasons.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Everyone complains about Tulo being fragile how many times has Donaldson been off due to injuries this season, and when does it become a concern? Jays have played 143 games so far. Donaldson has missed 5 of those games this season. Tulowitzki has missed 31 games this season. You're still an idiot.
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 JD's played through injuries all year and still barely missed time until this one. Thats anything but fragile. The guy got drilled in the face and still played ffs.
