G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Pretty funny. Channeling his inner Gregg Zaun. http://www.sportsnet.ca/shows/tim-and-sid-show/sid-seixeiro-strong-message-rougned-odor-rangers/
vilifyingforce Verified Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Sid is almost as annoying as the Rangers themselves.
AdamLindsMom Verified Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 The reference to "Goose Gossage half in the bag" led me to track down that interview. Holy s*** what a senile old man.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Sid is almost as annoying as the Rangers themselves. Pretty much but that music though... so good.
Governator Community Moderator Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Zaun would have done it so much better. Like his message to Ventura http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/zaun-stop-writing-cheques-your-skinny-ass-cant-cash/.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Zaun would have done it so much better. They both suck but Zaun would have done it painfully seriously.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Zaun would have done it so much better. Can't stand either for that matter..... Canada lack good baseball reporting Shi Davidi and BNS are really the only ones that you can get a good story out of... Other then that there are just guys jumping on the bus.

I don't disagree, but hey if you're going to try and act all mighty with your personal opinions, give it a serious tone or don't do it.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 looks like I'm in the minority, but I love Tim & Sid. Not great baseball minds, but they are damn good entertainers. I enjoyed the rant.

I enjoyed the rant. I mean i tune in every now and then but i feel their knowledge leads more to basketball and i could give a damn about the sport which is likely why i am not really drawn to them.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Rick Mercer's rants are much better.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 He is right, though. f*** the Rangers, buncha pussies.

Channeling his inner Gregg Zaun. http://www.sportsnet.ca/shows/tim-and-sid-show/sid-seixeiro-strong-message-rougned-odor-rangers/ I enjoyed watching that clip especially since I knew he was just having fun and not being mean. His message was clear though - Don't act all self-righteous then go out and repeat a similar action you were so annoyed about. Zaun on the other hand comes across, a lot of the times, as self-righteous and all-knowing. In my mind, Zaun has not found the right balance as yet. I think he should get rid of the outrageous suits cuz it makes him look more as a clone of someone rather than just being himself.

Like his message to Ventura http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/zaun-stop-writing-cheques-your-skinny-ass-cant-cash/. Now that was a good Zaun commentary and it got the point across. I am now wondering if that is where the idea for that particular "Tim & Sid" originated from.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 He is right, though. f*** the Rangers, buncha pussies. Bunch of pussy ass hypocrites.
baseballsss Verified Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Nice fuel the fire. Don't care how s***** the reports or broadcasts are just keep saying anything to make a playoff matchup even more intense.

Don't know how he recorded this without laughing.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 I really miss Tim & Sid on the radio. Andrew Walker is boring as toast.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Not a huge fan of Sid but he actually made a lot of good points in that rant. Jeff Bannister's reaction was rediculous

baseballsss Verified Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 How pumped would people be if Gibbons got that pumped?
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Tim & Sid are hilarious idk what you guys are saying. Also booster SN's ratings in primetime sports show to above SportsCenter I think. Very funny guys

Very funny guys I find them too annoying to listen to and I can't stand their stupid sound effects for every damn joke they say.

LOL he said Pete Rose played hard but not dirty f*** outta hereeee I find them too annoying to listen to and I can't stand their stupid sound effects for every damn joke they say. to each his own I guess I love watching them

I enjoy the odd clip here and there but I can't stand watching the actual show. It's like sitting through SNL waiting for the rare decent sketch.

Tim is one of the better CIS guys in broadcasting. Just there is so little need for a great CIS guy.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 I really miss Tim & Sid on the radio. Andrew Walker is boring as toast. The Sportsnet radio lineup is pretty boring. Not a fan of Brady & Walker and Jeff Blair is the most boring person to listen. As much I enjoyed listening to PTS back in the day, it really has been heading downwards in terms of missing some key co-hosts like Stephen Brunt & John Shannon which made for interesting dialogue and conversations. Mike Zeisberger and Damien Cox are pretty bad. As well, when someone like Jeff Blair hosts the show, it's 3 hours of torture.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Tim and Sid are hilarious. No idea how anyone could dislike them. I thought even the snobs from this board would find them acceptable.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Sid's "Knock knock..who's there..GOLD MEDAL IN THE FACE" was priceless. I like him
