flafson Verified Member Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 They better win tonight or my wife won't be willing to go to anymore games with me.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Estrada will run through them like a hot knife through butter. Go Jays!!
CBlake Verified Member Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Early game today? Only one early weekday game left at home this season, Wednesday September 14 vs. Tampa. 12:37 first pitch.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Early game today? Just an early GDT
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Estrada has been struggling a bit lately for him. Lets hope he finds his command tonight and can get deep into the game. RA actually gave us a big outing last night. He owns poor Albert for some reason. If not for a Tulo E, scored a hit, it would have been excellent.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Barney is leading off again despite a RHP being on the mound. I guess the alternative might be Carerra so f***.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Been waiting for hours for this one to start... Damn early GDT's...
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 How long is Travis expected to miss?? Was suppose to be back today
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Been waiting for hours for this one to start... Damn early GDT's... We use to have an unwritten rule that the GDT could not be posted until both lineup's were posted. Those were good times. Now we get them 9 hours before the game starts or 5 minutes after it starts.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Was suppose to be back today They always say that. May as well give him a few extra days. We shouldn't need him against the Angels. Gibbons just needs to readjust his lineup. Donaldson, Encarnacion, Martin, Tulo, ect, ect. Would look fine right now.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Batting Barney lead off again vs a RHP is crazy, just bat Barney last and move everybody up a spot. So Barney may be the batter in a high leverage situation late in the game with the game on the line versus Donaldson? Gibby is one f***ed up hick.

I do agree Barney shouldn't be seeing that first pitch though.

I do agree Barney shouldn't be seeing that first pitch though. bottom of the 9th jays are down by 1 with 2 outs. Who do you want up - Darwin Barney? or one of the 13 players on the jays who have a higher wRC+ than him in the 2nd half (this list includes Aaron Sanchez) (11 players not including travis and bautista who are hurt) I fail to see how the lineup is irrelevant.

baseballsss Verified Member Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 What? So if the lead off spot happens to be the last AB of the game with the game on the line, what then? What if the it's the ninth spot that comes up... who cares
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Zeke was the unimpeachable lead-off guy while Jose was out in June. Now? 9th. There's literally no logic to Gibby's decisions with the lead-off spot, except seemingly how many cumulative ABs he can give to bench bats over JD, Troy, Edwin, and other vastly better hitters.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
