Travis has been on pace for about 6 WAR both last year and this year. Sale might give you 6 WAR on a good year. Given their current contract situations or lack there of... That's $83K per WAR for Travis and $2M per WAR for Sale.

 

I guess the only real difference is Sale is proven and Travis is not, right?

He got his degree from Baldwin-Wallace college in Cleveland apperently so pretty close! Finished his masters at the University of Alabama, and worked his way up the Padres system

 

That is very respectable.

Well lets see one of those 6 WAR seasons from Travis before saying we wouldn't trade him for Sale , that's dumb - and you'll prob end up being a laughing point in a thread on a white sox forum

I didn't say I wouldn't do it, but saying it's completely crazy without thinking it through is a little dim-sighted.

"On pace" and the actual numbers are two different things.
