Effit Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Without looking it up, I think we've swept 2 series this year. Tall order to sweep the O's. Hopefully August is kind to us like last year. Edit: series that are at least 3 games
OneManAsylum Verified Member Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Martin has always been iffy with pitch selection, that pitch to Weiters and Trumbo was awful and predictable.
jiminy Verified Member Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 The loss of tulo could be a huge blow.
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Oh well. Still did what they had to in taking the series.

thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Need to at least split this series with the Astros.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Jays had only 1 hit after the 4th inning?? WTF...
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Tulo tiny chip fracture in thumb Day to day
OneManAsylum Verified Member Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Jays had only 1 hit after the 4th inning?? WTF... It is but it's been a pattern in games this year, Jays score early then offense disappears for rest of the game...frustrating this was a winnable game.
Rusty_Savage Verified Member Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Offense disapears for long stretches again. jesus Christ man, we scored 15 runs in the first two games for f*** sakes
Nabru Verified Member Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 jesus Christ man, we scored 15 runs in the first two games for f*** sakes No sense in discussing baseball with a nutcase on their 126th account in 3 years.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Chavez has now allowed 50% of his inherited runners (out of 32) to score. That is also DFA worthy.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 s***** way to lose. Most of us would have been happy if asked last week if 2/3 was a good weekend would have said yes. They won 1 they tried hard to give away, kicked the s*** out them in one and limped out with the loss in the last game. time to beat up on the astros

Chavez has allowed a grand slam, two three run homers, three two run homers, and three solo shots, all in 41.1 innings. That's kind of impressive in a way.
OneManAsylum Verified Member Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 No sense in discussing baseball with a nutcase on their 126th account in 3 years. What are the Jays stats in late innings? The O's are third in baseball and have a good pen thus great record in close games....
Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 with the new players in the pen. its been very good of late. Until today when ceci and jesse pitched Cecil was fine... it was that other dude throwing 85 mph fastballs and breaking s*** way out of the zone.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Orioles have a great bullpen. When it comes down to extra innings, its bullpen vs bullpen with depth being important. Not surprising that the Jays lost this one.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Anyone has our bp's official W/L record for this year? Feels like it's 9-53 lol
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Anyone has our bp's official W/L record for this year? Feels like it's 9-53 lol Feels like a lot of Jays losses this year have been really painful. I guess that's par for the course with a team this tough to beat that something needs to go *wrong* for them to lose, but it's still obnoxious. If I could have one game back this year it would be the home opener v the Red Sox. The game with the Donaldson and Holt grand slams. (FYI the Holt GS was a Chavez special. It's like clockwork with Jesse at this point. What a complete f***-up he's been.)
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2016 Author Posted July 31, 2016 with the new players in the pen. its been very good of late. Until today when ceci and jesse pitched Cecil pitched fine. Why not blame Morales who issued a four pitch walk to a lefty that he was signed to get out. You have to actually watch the game.
