Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Cubs are going to end their drought aren't they.
Governator Community Moderator Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Santiago to the Twins for Nolasco and Meyer. WTF? mlb teams are retarded wtf is going on Salary dump?
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 If you want to truly follow the Sanchez path... What you need to do is a) Work 40-45 hours a week... occasionally getting pushed to 50 (even if not the smartest thing to do). as the big deadlines and work crunch is coming announce that to protect you from burnout you need to reduce hours to 5 a week. c) Tell them you will come in around 3:00, 2 or 3 days a week, but you will work like hell for an hour or two. I get that, all I am saying is it makes your starting rotation a s*** show, you trust Dickey to win the Jays 5 more games? Good luck, who picks up the slack if Stroman can't keep giving up 4 - 5 runs a game?
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Have you seen him pitch? I don't want him here Yeah but Bolsinger's stats are worse, no?
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 I can't believe the Jays are honestly sending Sanchy to the pen, yay we have a great 8th inning guy now and now the Jays only have 2 legit winning pitchers in Happ and Marco (pending back) Unless Stroman get his s*** together this move just weakens the Jays all around. Every pitcher is 1 f***ing pitch away from their arm exploding inning limits are so stupid. I better only work 35 hours this week, don't want to get burnt out for the rest of the work season. Who says that they are putting him in the pen yet? I hope they opt to go 6 man and skip starts. I think the BP puts more stress on the arm than a routine
Sorrow Verified Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Yeah but Bolsinger's stats are worse, no? Had a pretty solid year for the Dodgers last year. Lucroy and Jeffress both going to Texas, holy s***.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 This trade deadline was mega fail on the Jays part, meh. I agree. Our pen is weak, can't be a serious WS contender realistically.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Yeah but Bolsinger's stats are worse, no? Yeah in half the innings pitched. Small sample size
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Welp Texas wins the AL this year, thanks Jays 2015 for a fun ride, maybe catch a good playoff run in 20 more years.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Welp Texas wins the AL this year, thanks Jays 2015 for a fun ride, maybe catch a good playoff run in 20 more years. Far from it--Rangers still are lacking a SP.

Good luck, who picks up the slack if Stroman can't keep giving up 4 - 5 runs a game? I wasn't implying you didn't get it... just encouraging you to follow the Sanchez path completely. Tell your boss that 5 full effort hours a week, during critical times are better then 40... which they probably aren't
UKBlueJaysFan Verified Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 If your name ends in Chavez and you're in the Jays organisation I'd pack your bags.
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Far from it--Rangers still are lacking a SP. If Darvish gets healthy its a done deal, that team will score 7 runs a game now.
sdyment Verified Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 The values that Shatkins are probably looking for will be abundant during August. Grilli-type claims and trades are very common. Could see us picking up one or two BP pieces in the first wave of waiver claims.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Yeah in half the innings pitched. Small sample size Well I guess he could be worth a shot. Our pen is still weak though.
jerb Verified Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Jon Heyman Verified account @JonHeyman nova traded to pirates
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Yankees came out laughing on this deadline. Glory days will be back in 2 years in NY
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Lol Nova traded to Pirates Yankees WS Champs in 2020😂😂
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Welp Texas wins the AL this year, thanks Jays 2015 for a fun ride, maybe catch a good playoff run in 20 more years. You seem angry. Wanna talk about it?
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 You seem angry. Wanna talk about it? It just sucks that our window is now and they're kind of on cruise control while every else hit the f***ing nitro button to zoom zoom away.
candymartinez Verified Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 People get way too worked up over these deadline deals. Everyone was handing Oakland the World Series a few years ago after they got Lester and they fell off a cliff and almost missed the playoffs.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 It just sucks that our window is now and they're kind of on cruise control while every else hit the f***ing nitro button to zoom zoom away. Dude calm down we don't have half the prospects they traded
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Matt Moore to Giants from Rays
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Matt Moore to SFG. Return still pending..
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 It just sucks that our window is now and they're kind of on cruise control while every else hit the f***ing nitro button to zoom zoom away. f*** the whole "window of opportunity" narrative. This all started with the Marlins trade. We could have had a strong sustainable farm with 1-2 playoff berths by now if those trades hadn't been made.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 It just sucks that our window is now and they're kind of on cruise control while every else hit the f***ing nitro button to zoom zoom away. I agree

sdyment Verified Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Apparently a Chavez Dfa was in the works, so I guess getting something for him again is good... Underwhelming, but something.
