You can't blame Shartkins for not wanting to overpay. If you don't see something that makes you a lot better today you don't do it. I wanted Reddick and Hill but very few teams could offer more than the Dodgers can.

And Abad would have fit the bill. We just lost another game to the bullpen

Things I want by today:

 

- Logan (or another lefty arm)

- Starter of decent quality

- Starter with options that's of similar quality to Chavez but has an option so we can send him down and put Hutch as a swing

- Tulo not being injured

 

Then if Sanchez heads to the pen we have an elite pen. If he don't, then we still have a pretty good one and we can run a nice 6 man rotation

Dickey and Stroman are having struggling years. Hutch who knows. What concerns me most is that if Estrada gets hurt we are looking at Chavez starting? Not good.
