Peacocking means dressing for attention. Just like Peacock's use their feathers to get a mate.

Peacocking is meant to make opening a girl easier, but if you're not congruent with your look (like, if you look like you're gay and you try to hit on a girl), wires are gonna get crossed somewhere and you're gonna blow yourself out.

Peacocking in Texas culture means to kind of poke your neck out and try to fire up a fight. Here in Canada and probably anywhere but backwards Texas, peacocking is what you described.

You're so damn cultured.

Adds to the game when the rich people on their phones don't pay attention and get pelted with foul balls over the screen.

You're not rich?

Get Dickey out by the 6th

We are losing this one anyways

I say if we are down by more than 3 runs, let Dickey go the distance and give the bullpen the day off. Might as well get some value from him.

"A s*** ton of value"? A 200 IP league average starter does have value, but he's attached to a back-up catcher that shouldn't be in the Majors and being average does not equate to a "s*** ton" of value. If he was 2012 RA, then Thole could be here and I wouldn't give two shits, but if you're a 4.00 ERA/210 IP starter, then f***, that's average at best.

Back-up catchers are s*** around the leagues, save for a few teams.

So you honestly think a typical backup catcher that can hit .250 vs Thole that has hit .198 during his Blue Jays career is a face palm moment?

Yes, considering the Dickey effect.

Atkins looks like that guy that cuts in front of you at the bar for a drink and proceeds to tell a 5 minute story to the bartender.

Not really.

It wasn't 100% luck. The strikeout was pretty good.

The guy only swung because he saw a mosquito and didn't want to get zika. Very lucky for Dickey.
