You could easily say if Thole caught that ball the runner would be at third still Dickey would pitch the batter differently and the ending result would be a homer. haha

 

There is a 5 % chance maybe of that happening. If Travis is at 2nd with 0 outs...its highly likely Thole bunts and with the way he bunts it's a pop up double play. But at the same time if Carerra catches the ball in the first or the one this inning (one he should have had easy). We could be tied as well.

I don't think you're seeing what they're saying. You don't make the first out of the inning being greedy and trying to take 3, especially if you're not a bonafide speedster and especially not with a hot hitting team like this, It's fundamental baseball

It was a horrible play...but we are losing cause Thole couldn't catch a ball down the middle...knuckleball or not...its a more fundamental play
