Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 (edited) Thoughts are with the families and friends of those who were killed or hurt during the attack in Orlando this morning. Jiminez (3-6, 6.21 ERA), had not won since May 7 before allowing one earned run on nine hits while striking out four over five innings in a 9-1 win over the Red Sox on Tuesday. Sanchez (5-1, 2.91 ERA) became the first Blue Jays pitcher this season to reach double-digit strikeouts during his last outing, setting a career high with 12 strikeouts in a 3-2 loss to the Tigers on Tuesday. Things to know about this game • Orioles infielder Manny Machado was suspended four games by Major League Baseball on Thursday for his part in an altercation against the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday. The 23-year-old remains in the O's lineup while he appeals the suspension. • Orioles first baseman Chris Davis has had his share of success against Sanchez, going 5-for-7 with two home runs, two RBIs and a double against the right-hander. Since 2012, Davis has hit 15 home runs at the Rogers Centre -- the most for any opposing hitter in Toronto. • Blue Jays catcher Russell Martin is scheduled to return to the lineup on Sunday after not starting on Saturday. The 33-year-old is batting .250 (10-for-40) with two doubles and five RBIs lifetime against Jimenez. http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/gameday/index.jsp?gid=2016_06_12_balmlb_tormlb_1#game=2016_06_12_balmlb_tormlb_1,game_state=Pregame http://i.imgur.com/uZfX9LX.gif Eddy heating up after the oppo taco. 3-3, 1 Double, 2 Home Runs, 2BB LET'S GO BLUE JAYS! Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 Eventually we got to figure out Ubaldo. Everyone else has. Clearly his herky jerky s*** f***s up the leg kicks.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2016 Author Posted June 12, 2016 Losing Jose during this series vs the O's makes me wonder how much intensity/drama one man can add to a whole lineup
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 If Sanchez dominates this lineup, then he has reached another level.
nextyear Verified Member Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 I like the lineup. Carrera doesn't have Bautista's power but he will do anything to get on base. Martin is starting instead of Thole. Devon Travis is in the lineup, maybe he can get things going today. I expect Goins to be on base a couple of times today (as he was yesterday). Barney has been a hitting machine this season. Edwin is in the lineup at 1B where he is decent on defense, and superb on offense. Donaldson is due to break out in a big way. Saunders - amazing Pillar - he can hit. I predict that the Blue Jays will score 7 runs today, I hope that will be enough to beat the Orioles.

I've always supported the kid, but his starts brought more nervous energy than anything in the past. Now I'm excited to see a quality pitcher take on a great lineup. He might be good, he might be bad today, but long term I feel pretty good about the kid.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 If Sanchez gives us something similar to Estrada I would be thrilled. One less bomb. That Orioles lineup is a juggernaut you're going to get hit eventually.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 Let's Go Blue Jays!!!!!!!!!
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 Adam Jones actually seems like a solid dude. Great interview with Hazel
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 He seems chill and cool, but I'm not buying Showalter being anything but a miserable POS though lol.
Praxis Verified Member Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 Nice to see Travis back in the lineup with our ace starting; now let's win 3/4!
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 Time to tee off on that loser Jimenez.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 Time to tee off on that loser Jimenez. That won't happen. He will walk 5 and still pitch 5 or 6 scoreless. Hes like Gallardo against us.
Governator Community Moderator Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 Didn't know about the shootout, that's horrific and sad. Let's go Sanchez, do your thing.
BigBulgeBlueBird Verified Member Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 lets go sanchez good inning outta you here bud
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2016 Author Posted June 12, 2016 Cannot walk hitters against this lineup

Praxis Verified Member Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 How the hell did Kim even hit that ball? Lol.
Stoneyen Verified Member Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 Ump better be giving us these same calls
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 How the hell did Kim even hit that ball? Lol. No idea lol, went Vladdy on it.
Praxis Verified Member Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 As long as we see a consistent strike zone all game, I'll live with it. Anyone want to bet odds?
