jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Betances is pitching pretty s***** lately
el duque Verified Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Osuna is a stud, he better be a starter next year Our team needs a closer and that is as important as a starter I rather keep him as a reliever, remember Rivera the Yankees best weapon in the late 90s
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Osuna had 2 days off. He'll be ready if needed tomorrow. Everyone loves Osuna. But if you kept in Grilli and used Loup if needed you have to wonder if you have saved him. You want to avoid using him as much as possible to keep him fresh.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 full of s*** You really don't think that's happening?

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 You'd swear we were losing with the mood in this thread. Jesus, enjoy the win.
baloojayz Verified Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 If you are considering Osuna for the starter position, why not stretch him out into a 2 inning reliever 8th and 9th?

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Shut up Jonn People won't be happy until Osuna pitches everyday. Sorry I just dont want to see Gibbons hit the panic button when the sky isn't falling every night.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Osuna was the right move. Win today. Might not get a shot to win for the rest of the series. Jays-Sox series are always total war. All the stops matter.
93 Jays Verified Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 If he'd have put another guy on, I would have been ok with Osuna, but if it were me, I'd have left Biagini to finish his own job. Oh well, it's over now and it worked out well considering it was a quick AB

bowld Verified Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Thank god Travis is back! Not only is he a good hitter but it means Goins is gone
Sparky12 Verified Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Our team needs a closer and that is as important as a starter I rather keep him as a reliever, remember Rivera the Yankees best weapon in the late 90s You can't seiously think a closer provides more value then a high end starting pitcher ?
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Osuna was the right move. Win today. Might not get a shot to win for the rest of the series. Jays-Sox series are always total war. All the stops matter. Exactly. Look at Girardi last series. He saved his relievers the entire series (but for one inning of Betances) but they never had a late inning lead to use them. It was stupid.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 I would use him as needed not all the time. Osuna is being used very effectively this year
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Hernandez nearly injured himself on that swing, that pitch was downright filthy.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Exactly. Look at Girardi last series. He saved his relievers the entire series (but for one inning of Betances) but they never had a late inning lead to use them. It was stupid. That's not the same thing. Yankees were trailing. We had a 4 run lead with a fresh pitcher on the pound and good matchup options. I just want Osuna to be kept fresh. Nothing wrong with that.
el duque Verified Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 One difference between Osuna and some of the garbage we have in the BP is that Roberto throws strikes with different flavors
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Osuna is so fun to watch. I love watching that high fastball and filthy filthy slider
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 So annoying not having the pitch count on the screen lol.
gbill2004 Verified Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Filthy. Like a sweaty groin after taking a number two.
