SexyNewForum Verified Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 I don't mind the ovation the guy competed super hard for us and we didn't even give him an offer. f*** our cheap management, some guys are just too respectable to not give a clap for
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Anyone else feel like we are in our Boston living rooms?
93 Jays Verified Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Hutch and Dickey should be used in tandem every 5 days. The psychological implications of the two headed monster alone are enough to warrant consideration. I'd rather just see them let Hutch pitch. Dickey is so predictable in situations where his team gets him a lead and he just collapses, even when he's pitching a good game. How you go from no hitter for five innings to letting 5 straight guys reach is just way beyond me, But you can see it coming. His team gives him a lead in a pivotal game where you have the opportunity to sweep the first place team and he immediately hands it right back over. The polar opposite of what his team needs....but then how do you pull a guy who is no hitting the other team and the fact remains we have nobody anywhere near dependable enough to pull him for anyhow. I'd personally just rather see Hutch pitch every five days
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Sportsnet you have one job broadcast the team you own.
Qwerty Verified Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Who of the relievers have options? Hutch does so I dont see the value in carrying a backup catcher at all. Shuttle someone up (jimenez/thole if he has options/other) when Martin needs rest every 5 days and shift Hutch down. Rotate accordingly. The value of having excess arms wins more games then the off-chance Martin gets hurt. If hutch is on the roster 4/5 days he wont care. Is this allowed?
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Sportsnet you have one job broadcast the team you own. Relax you weirdo

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 They are just upset there is no hockey to air today I can't wait till the epic Sharks-Penguins Final!

Dickey effectively allows Sanchez to start and shift to the bullpen. If we had one more swing guy then id agree
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Saunders for Pillar and Martin for Thole.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 That Dickey inning was such a pisser. The "he was cruising" excuse is so obnoxious. It's not like this sort of performance lull isn't foreseeable.

Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Maybe Rogers fired everyone on the Sportsnet Jays staff to save monies.
PhillyBlueJay Verified Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Interesting read on why Blue Jays hitters have not been hitting this year. They hitters have not adjusted to pitching adjustments. http://toronto.locals.baseballprospectus.com/2016/05/25/the-blue-jays-hitters-need-to-adjust-to-adjustments/
