Jayday Verified Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 What a mismanagement of the BP , no one getting ready .. using osuna with game tied.and then jay pitchers not knowing when the #9 batter is up and seemingly pitching around him.. 4pitches in the dirt ...what a s*** show. Thought they brought loup up ?

Thought they brought loup up ? You realize a home team can't use their closer when they are winning in extras right?
sawyerford Verified Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Man Floyd has sucked since Minnesota. He will come around tho.
Governator Community Moderator Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 This team desperately needs a working Brett Cecil.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Loser Oh relax. I'm a huge supporter of the Oshawa Generals.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 This is why Gibbons doesn't pull starters in the 6th when it looks like he should. There is no one to turn to. We have 2 guys and a loogy. Biagini and Chavez should have gone an extra inning each.
admin Site Manager Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 I haven't been watching a great deal, but can someone tell my why Storen keeps getting to pitch?
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 I haven't been watching a great deal, but can someone tell my why Storen keeps getting to pitch? Well in regards to this game there was really no other options. Generally speaking though i'm sure the Jays realize his HR/FB is going to stabilize. (It's like 22% right now). His BABIP is almost .400 In 2015 his K/9 was 10.96 and B/9 was 2.62. His SwSt% was 12.2% In 2016 his K/9 is 10.13 and B/9 is 2.25. His SwSt% is 11.7% There's very good reason to believe he will be better going forward and ERA estimators like SIERA say 3.12.
Governator Community Moderator Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 ftfy Cecil is one who could actually come in to any situation and bail us out. Most reliable arms we've had recently don't hold runners like he has and having that option was underappreciated. For example, Sanchez could be a very good arm for the pen but not one that can come with go ahead run on 3rd, 1 out and expect a K. That guy is hard to find apparently, I want Cecil back.

Oh wow, thanks. His numbers really aren't that bad. I should have looked before posting lol. For some reason I thought he was just terrible across the board.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 The biggest reason for today's lost was the delay in taking out Dickey. He should not have pitched to Hanley. 4 straight Redsox had gotten on and Dickey was over 100 pitches Dickey was not good today for the first five either.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Bad result today, but overall a tough fought series. 2 out of 3 is pretty good. 4-2 halfway through the Yanks-Sox-Yanks-Sox stretch (who schedules this stuff?). It also legitimately looks like the offense might be waking up. Lots of good to take away from the last two series hitting-wise, for the most part. Nearly at the 1/3 point of the season. Considering how bad the team has looked at times, .500 isn't so bad. Maybe put the panic whistles back in the drawer for the time being.
