Both Stroman and Dickey were left in the game too long. It cost them at least 2 runs yesterday and at least 1 today.

 

In fairness, we know that there is no guarantee that Girodo would have gotten Shaw, but you at least give him and your team a margin for error by bringing him into a situation with runners at 1st and 2nd instead of the bases loaded.
