TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 I actually tweeted that exact thing to Wilner. I'm usually not a Wilner hater, but he's SO f***ing wrong here. This isn't a guy who got away with crimes, this is a guy who got caught, and who served his time. He has had his punishment already. Anthony Tufano...the man he run over said in an interview 2 years ago "I want him to serve his time and then get out and play professional sports again".
mtljaysfan Verified Member Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 What a game! Our starting pitching's been absolutely ridiculous! Even that old stinking Dickey is pitching well lol
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Anthony Tufano...the man he run over said in an interview 2 years ago "I want him to serve his time and then get out and play professional sports again". That's great. The law has punishments, we may not agree with all of them, some of us may thing they're too harsh, some of us may think they're too soft, but they are what they are, and we, as a society, agree to them, or we try to change them through elections... The one thing we can't do, is stigmatize people who have gone through the system that we have, as people who are inherently bad. I believe in rehabilitation, I believe that people can improve who they are, and I believe that even if they aren't better people, they still deserve the agreement that was made with them. If our judicial system says "5 years", that means 5 years, it doesn't mean 5 years in jail, and a lifetime of being a second class citizen.

nextyear Verified Member Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 If Dickey can continue to pitch this well (or even close to it) for the rest of the season then the Blue Jays will be in good shape considering that they also have Stroman, Sanchez, Happ and Estrada. If the bullpen becomes average or above average, then the Blue Jays might go on a good win streak. In spite of the tough loss to the Giants on Wednesday, they have now won 3 out of 4 on this road trip. The Blue Jays are now at 19-18 compared to 17-20 after the same number of games in 2015.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Why the f*** are we happy about Matt Bush?
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Can't believe people here are defending Matt Bush... He had a domestic abuse incident and then almost kills someone while driving drunk. He's a piece of s***. If you drive drunk you deserve to go to jail. Nobody should be talking about this garbage "redemption" story. He had multiple other instances of violence too
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Just watched gm on PVR. What a start by RA. Smoak raking. Tulo pounds a 95mph FB. Solid D. All good. Get em tomorrow Birds.

He had multiple other instances of violence too All true at this point, and unless Matt Bush cleans up his act and shows that it is a real change, then it will be difficult for people to forget. I saw this YouTube video a couple days ago and considered it to be uplifting - https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=tim+allen+youtube&qpvt=tim+allen+youtube&view=detail&mid=8B6986C4AB1B6E2BF7ED8B6986C4AB1B6E2BF7ED&FORM=VRDGAR . I didn't realize that Tim Allen the actor had spent two years in prison. However, in his case, his life started going in the wrong direction when his father was killed by a drunk driver.

So YOU can honestly say that you never did drink and drive since being arrest and convicted in 2010? Never mind, I don't expect you to answer that.

Bush has an extensive history of being a piece of s*** aside from the DUI. I'm all for redemption but you guys are getting way too emotional about his comeback. If he fails, who cares. He had all the God given talent in the world and squandered it. Nobody to blame but himself. With that said, hell of a fastball!

Governator Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Matt Bush should be a mere footnote of this game. Talk more about Dickey's gem and Tulo and EE going yard.

Never mind, I don't expect you to answer that. First of all, this is a crime against the English language. Second of all, I have not. Third of all, if I had and I had been caught I would have been tried accordingly and the fact that I have a previous DUI on my record would come in to play at that time. But please, continue to be a sanctimonious dickbag, it's all the rage these days.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Morning Deadpool, how are you?
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Toronto Blue Jays organization: On February 10, 2009, Bush was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays for a player to be named later or cash considerations. The Blue Jays, well aware of his behavioral problems, put him on a "zero tolerance" policy. At a party on March 30, he reportedly threw a baseball at a woman's head and banged on her car window after accusing her of drawing markings on his face at a party in Dunedin, Florida. The Blue Jays released him the next day. He would be out of baseball for the entire 2009 season. Ah, so that's why Wilner is incensed. His SJW part was activated.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Morning Deadpool, how are you? I'm not at work, so that improves my day quite a lot. Thanks for asking!

I have zero sympathy for impaired drivers but I do care for all the victims and pain they cause. Ever occurred to you that actions speaks louder then words and maybe, just maybe that you are the dickbag in our society.
