You're way too biased in this situation. Bush has an extensive history of being a piece of s*** aside from the DUI. I'm all for redemption but you guys are getting way too emotional about his comeback. If he fails, who cares. He had all the God given talent in the world and squandered it. Nobody to blame but himself.

 

With that said, hell of a fastball!

 

I don't think anyone particularly cares if he fails, but it would be cool to see someone turn their life around. Judgmental pricks like Wilner perpetuate a certain attitude towards ex-cons that hurts society overall.

Since you're so good at the English language you should have spent some time on reading the rules of driving. I have zero sympathy for impaired drivers but I do care for all the victims and pain they cause. Ever occurred to you that actions speaks louder then words and maybe, just maybe that you are the dickbag in our society.

I've been charged of DUI, and it was the following morning driving to work... guess I'm a dickbag of society. Although I've paid my fines and had my day in court. You sir should calm down, no one is condoning it, people make mistakes, I've learned my lesson.

or people commending someone who is playing baseball while fighting a disease. There are so many layers to this (where were the Padres and Rays when he started drinking, his friends, his teammates...should baseball force rehab for players found to be drunk a certain amount of time) Matt Bush presumably has come out of jail sober, he's doing his part to speak against drinking and driving (read the series from Gabe Kapler) and came back to do something that he really hasn't been doing for a long time (he had under 75 innings pitched in his career before going to jail) and he's come out of jail doing it better than he was before. He can't change the past and he deserved to go to jail...but learning lessons and trying to turn a negative into a positive is what people should be judged by, and sports being the vehicle for this is partially why I love sports.

that is the interesting one, I'm guessing that if he's forgiven Bush, the league would have made a PR moment out of it. So chances are he hasn't spoke about it at all.

Not true!! I just thought it would be better to have other people do it too, I felt like I was being way to selfish with it. That and me not having time to do it regularly, but I'll make one soon enough when we hit a losing streak ;)
