KinofChaos Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 f*** Odor man. Sanchez does not look good, lots of pitches over the plate.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 They have done this several of Sanchez's starts. No change or curves until 2nd time through
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 ump isn't giving the pitcher the call if he misses his spot.
Stoneyen Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 No walks is good to see, BABIP is showing up big time today, but jeez stop throwing so many fastballs in good counts
nextyear Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 This looks like a repeat of Sanchez's last start.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Couple of 4 seam fastballs there.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 This looks like a repeat of Sanchez's last start. no it doesn't lol
KinofChaos Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 This looks like a repeat of Sanchez's last start. By repeat you mean opposite? Mixing in some 4 seamers is good, but way too slow to make adjustments by martin/Sanchez. Too many 2 seamers early.
TheGrandslamMan Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Lucky to get away with only 1 run scoring there. Still a morale loss to give the run right back. It's Colby Lewis, these guys really need to touch him up... Get some confidence back.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 two walk off wins in a row broke the board. lol glad to see it's up and running again. Maybe we should shut it down every night for the win?
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Blue Jays Win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Osuna Matata for the win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://67.media.tumblr.com/8faacb1bf559241939e1b7df8c81ce16/tumblr_mm5qb7ydZ71r4gei2o5_400.gif
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Edwin and Martin came through tonight....good to see Great game from Sanchez to keep them to 3 runs
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Damn, the board got f***ed up just when Martin had his first HUGE hit of the year.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Tonight was one of the worst strikezone I ever saw. Umpire was just awful. Didn't call strikes like 3 inches below the top of the zone and called some horrible off the plate balls for strikes including the Bautista one 3 inches down and away.
Stoneyen Verified Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Another solid start from Sanchez. 3.18 xFIP on the year
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Anyone else notice flyballs don't seem to be carrying as much this year? There were a few balls hit tonight where I thought they would be close to going out yet stayed up for easy flyouts and it seems like theres been a few nights like this.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Missed the game - seems like Sanchez did pretty well. All of his Ks were swinging I believe?
admin Site Manager Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Sorry guys. DOn't know what the issue is. Twice now.
Stoneyen Verified Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Missed the game - seems like Sanchez did pretty well. All of his Ks were swinging I believe? 10 whiffs for 9.9% on the night. Threw 14 curves and 16 changes which isn't too bad. The first inning was pretty brutal with the pitching calling with two strikes.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Another solid start from Sanchez. 3.18 xFIP on the year I haven't looked at the numbers yet, but just feels like he mixed it better tonight. Still had 0 command of his change but he still threw it. I don't recall seeing a cutter so he may have shelved it. Liked the curve ball usage as the game wore on

It seems to always turn into solid contact, at least from the eye-test.

Liked the curve ball usage as the game wore on I'd like to see how a Sanchez slider would look, hopefully Stroman shows him his at some point.

Liked the curve ball usage as the game wore on Fan graphs has his curveball as the 5th best in the majors. Hope he keeps using it.
