I've brought this up this past offseason: Edwin looks like he's clearly declining and will continue to do so. Look at these plate-discipline/batted-ball rates from the past 5 seasons:

He is swinging more, making less contact in general, and swinging through more pitches. The last 2-3 years the decline has been obvious. He's going to really fall apart in the next year or 2.

 

I brought this up when people were asking if tthe Jays should sign Bautista or Edwin long term. Even if the power comes back a month into the season like last year Edwin looks like he will fall off a cliff soon.
