KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Ask mods I have no other accounts. This checks out.
TilsonBritoFan Verified Member Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Quit f***ing whining about your hurt feelings and dumb thread. Move on. LOL my feelings aren't affected by the nobodies on this board dude. Don't give yourself the credit. Merely pointing out the hypocrisy. Moving on...
Statman Verified Member Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Also wtf was up with Bautistas D in the 8th? Slow old legs? Bautista has been a horrible defender going on a couple of years now.
gbill2004 Verified Member Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Common knowledge? Like, if I stop a stranger in the street they'll say I have multiple accounts? Give me a break. I don't care what you think, believe what you want you are insignificant. You appear to have an inferiority complex.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 If they can't hit Mike Wright and Chris Tillman, who are they going to mash? These are likely the two worst pitchers they will see all year. We got Gray and Sale coming up to......
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Not expecting Baltimore to keep this up--their upcoming sked is difficult, with the Royals, Rays and White Sox coming up. Unless they keep hitting to offset mediocre pitching, the Orioles are going to crash back to earth soon.
JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 I thought after the first inning Jays offense were poised for a breakout game. Then they proceeded to get two hits for the rest of the game
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 All I did was post about how the offense needs to be called out and a bunch of people started insulting me, one person even brought my wife up. So I fired back with some insulting memes and then you said I took it too far. Meanwhile you routinely cross the line call for posters to die in a fire, rot, etc, etc. 2 days later and now everyone probably agrees with me that offense needs to be called out, LOL Alright, mate. lol

Then they proceeded to get two hits for the rest of the game It seems like every game there is a moment where we are right on the precipice of breaking out, but then once we look over the edge we collectively decide to simply not hit anymore.
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 I'm Tilson's alternate account.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Not sure I agree I think we've lost 4 games now where we had the lead going into the 7th. You don't agree that those players have looked great? The offence seems to haven't scored later than the 5th inning in a ton of games as well which hurts the Win/Loss record.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Against the worst team in baseball right now.. I mean, Reds pitching is AWFUL... and the offense is bad too. Better record than us hahaha..

Tester Verified Member Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 If only we had Martin catching so that passed ball doesn't cost us the game... oh wait...
Hal Johnson Verified Member Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Very frustrating couple of games. Let's get 'em tomorrow!!
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 So how many games did we lose when leading after 6 innings?
Filmstudy Verified Member Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 That had to be one of the worst performances calling balls and strikes I have seen in a very long time. Martin continually framed pitches up effectively. Two poor calls on Trumbo in the first inning cost the Orioles 2+ runs. Then came the Wieters ejection/called K, then called strike 3 on Reimold which was comically low and inside. Estrada was the ideal pitchers to take advantage of situation.

Definite problems on both sides of the ball but I have more faith in the hitters turning it around than this pen (the way it is now) holding up long term. I think we needed another significant arm in the off season and still do. I think it's going to get exposed over the long haul imo.

Luckily it didn't effect the outcome of the game but it wasn't like calls didn't go against the Jays either. Bautista had a walk robbed of him earlier in the game too.
jimmygibbssr Verified Member Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Whats a pen arm that we could reasonably go after? A Will Smith? Jason Grilli?

One area that was supposed to be a big strength was the defense which has been worse than it should. Tulo and Pillar have been great (minus 1 Pillar play today) but everyone else seems to not be playing as well as they should. I feel confident in it turning around though.
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Whats a pen arm that we could reasonably go after? A Will Smith? Jason Grilli? There are so many pen arms in baseball that any team could reasonably go after. It's the most common commodity out there. Numerous closers, middle relievers, LOOGYs, and minor league sleepers could be had. I don't think it's necessary though. Certainly not this early.

Yup I think Gibby would have to be perfect with it and so far he's been less than stellar. Goins has been a bit of a disappointment for me but I guess we've been so accustomed to him being bulletproof out there.
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Just finished watching the game. This offense is pathetic. They're not snapping out of it because there is nothing to snap out of. it's pure crap.
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 I'm actually pissed off I wasted 2 hours of my time instead of just checking the score. Tomorrow night I know not to make such a stupid mistake again and just follow along on my phone. What a damn joke
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 four? Damn, I watched all the games so far and I couldn't remember. 4 is way too much...

Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Hopefully Sonny no hits us tomorrow. Maybe then someone might do something.
